It’s hard to explain, but every wedding ceremony has its own rhythm.
A certain vibe.

Some are full of laughter and energy, others feel quieter and more emotional — with nervous smiles, shaky hands, and the odd tear or two.

When I’m photographing a ceremony, I focus on the headline moments as they happen — the ones everyone’s watching. But I’m also looking for the little, personal moments most people miss.
The squeeze of a hand.
A proud glance from a parent.
A laugh that breaks the tension.

It’s all observation first… then the click of the shutter.

This set from Sammi & Liam’s ceremony at Larkspur Lodge in Cheshire is all in black and white — stripping things back to emotion, composition, and connection.

I honestly think you can feel moments more without colour.

An absolute master at making everyone, including bride and groom so at ease throughout the booking process and on the day.

He knows just when to intervene and capture those unforgettable moments with family groups, but never misses the small candid moments which make remembering the day so special.

His photos are so warm, with beautifully muted colours which look timeless. He was so quick to provide us with a teaser and then a generous preview and we can’t stop looking at them together.

This was during the cake cutting at Liah and Timours wedding at in the Cotswolds. One of those perfectly unplanned moments where the formality is forgotten for a second.

My job is being ready with a well composed frame when these moments are unfolding. I'm not going to pose or set these up, either... I just need to anticipate and capture.

A wedding is never just a wedding. Yesterday’s beautiful day for Liah & Timour was no different.

It was an all out celebration of love and culture. A gorgeous blend of traditions, heritage and culture held at , a venue with history running through its soul.

At one point, the MC tried counting the number of different nationalities at the wedding. Many, many countries were represented, all coming together under one roof to celebrate the love of a wonderful couple.

But enough about all of that… The pictures should say it all! I had an epic day, thanks for having me.

So I have to admit… I had a REALLY hard time choosing the photos for this post, only 20 slides? Come in insta, I need MORE!

I loved spending the day with and .thorogood at home near Chelmsford.

I only have ONE gripe, and that’s that nobody fell in the pool!

See, I DO go to city weddings sometimes! A few weddings each year in the northern cities, and a few more in London, each year. And I enjoy them, too, even if I do love getting back into my wellies the following day!

Rhea and James were married in one of the oldest buildings in Liverpool centre, the Bluecoat Chambers. A lovely wedding for a person I’ve known for many years. Congratulations!
