One of our favourite reminders from our episode with Tasha Bennett Wedding & Events Singer because somewhere along the way, weddings can start to feel like they come with a lot of rules.

You’re told what you should wear.
Who you should invite.
What time you should get married.
What your ceremony should look like.
Whether you should have a first dance.
What food you should serve.
What traditions you should follow.
And, somehow, everyone seems to have an opinion. 😂

But here’s the thing…

It’s YOUR wedding.

If you want the big traditional wedding… have it.
If you want something tiny and intimate… have it.
If you want to walk down the aisle together… do it.
If you don’t want a first dance… skip it.
If you want to spend thousands on flowers and nothing on favours… go for it.
If you want pizza at midnight instead of a traditional evening buffet… why not?! 🍕

There isn’t a perfect way to get married.

The best wedding is the one that feels like you two, not the one that ticks every box on somebody else’s checklist.
