Sandhole Oak Barn is a beautifully designed wedding barn, set in rolling Cheshire countryside. With landscaped gardens and a spacious veranda overlooking a large tranquil lake, it is the perfect setting for your wedding. Civil ceremonies can take place in the barn or by the lake under the clock tower (March to October), and the barn can seat up to 150 guests for your wedding reception.

A little look back at our Autumn Chef’s Table 🍂✨

An evening filled with delicious seasonal dishes, beautiful autumnal styling and live music, as we welcomed our booked couples to Sandhole Oak Barn for a taste of what’s to come on their wedding day.

From exploring our seasonal menu to chatting with our wonderful team, it was such a lovely evening bringing everyone together.

Everyone at Sandhole has their favourite spot… so we thought we’d ask the people who know it best 🤍

First up, our General Manager Bill (with a little help from Ruby, an important member of our welcome committee 🐾).

For Bill, it has to be the lake. A peaceful place to take a moment before you get married, an incredible backdrop for your wedding photos and home to some of Sandhole’s regular visitors - from herons and ospreys to the occasional otter.

Something new has arrived at the barn… 🥂

Our new drinks cart is ready to make its debut at your drinks receptions!

Originally an old horse cart, it’s been beautifully restored and given a new lease of life, complete with vintage milk churns and plenty of countryside charm.

Now taking pride of place at the front of the barn, it’s the perfect new spot for drinks, mingling and those just-married celebrations with your favourite people. 🤍

Another little detail to make your wedding day here even more special.

The transformation around Sandy is well underway 🌿✨

We’ve been giving this corner of Sandhole a bit of love, opening up the views across the lake and creating a space that feels softer, more natural and much more connected to its surroundings.

From reseeding the garden and clearing back overgrown areas, to creating a new slate seating space, with views across the lake & turning our shepherd’s hut into a bar - there’s plenty happening behind the scenes.

A huge shoutout to Will, who’s been putting in so much hard work to bring it all together (and making our many ideas a reality! 👏).

There’s still plenty more to come, and we can’t wait to show you the finished space.
