Over the last 40 years, I've had the absolute privilege of creating wedding flowers for hundreds of brides across Cheshire, Staffordshire, and beyond. Every bouquet has been as unique as the bride carrying it down the aisle.

Trends have come and gone. Colours have changed. Styles have evolved.

But one thing has remained the same...

Yesterday myself and Karen created the brand new summer door display for The Bulls Head at Smallwood ☀️🌻

After recently styling their Christmas display, followed by spring/Easter, it was time for a bright and colourful summer refresh — and I absolutely love how this one has turned out!

We’ve used beautiful sunflowers, hydrangeas, peonies, bougainvillea and lots of different filler flowers to create a vibrant display that’s full of colour and perfect for the season 🌸✨

All ready just in time for the Smallwood Vintage Rally this weekend 🚜

6 years ago, right in the middle of one of the strangest and hardest times we’ve all lived through, I found myself redundant like so many others during COVID.

What started as simply wanting to help people get flowers to loved ones when the world felt uncertain… slowly became something so much bigger. 🌸

Looking back now, I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have flowers to fall back on. Floristry has always been part of me for over 40 years, but during that time, flowers became more than just beautiful arrangements… they became my comfort, my purpose, my strength, and ultimately, my new beginning.

From doorstep deliveries during lockdowns, to weddings, funerals, workshops, celebrations, and all the moments in between — Sarah’s Flowers Cheshire has grown through love, support, and the most amazing customers I could ever wish for.

Every bouquet ordered, every recommendation shared, every kind message, every returning customer… you’ve all helped build this little business into something I’m incredibly proud of.

6 years of Sarah’s Flowers Cheshire feels like such a massive achievement, especially knowing how it all began. And I’m so thankful every single day that flowers saved me when I needed them most. 💐

Over the next few weeks I’ll also be sharing some “Meet the Maker” posts, looking back over my 40 years in floristry and joinery, sharing memories, stories, and the journey that brought me here today.
