🎭🍳 Fuelled up and ready for the Otley Run! 🍻🎉

What a way to start a Saturday! We welcomed this fantastic Shrek-themed crew into SIS & CO Café this morning before they set off on the legendary Otley Run.

With Shrek, Lord Farquaad, Fiona, Puss in Boots, Donkey and the Big Bad Wolf all stopping by for breakfast, the café felt a little more like Far Far Away than Colne! 💚✨

A special mention has to go to Fiona, who is none other than our very own Mia! 👸 We think she looks the part perfectly.

With the temperatures climbing this week, our kitchen will be even hotter behind the scenes 🔥🥵

While you’re enjoying iced coffees, cold drinks, and chilled lunches, our team will be working in temperatures that can feel 10-15 degrees hotter in the kitchen.

To help keep everyone safe and looked after, there may be slight delays during busy periods as the team take regular water breaks and cool-down moments 💛

✨ Deep Clean Day Tomorrow ✨

Just a little update from us at the cafe ☕🧽

Tomorrow we’ll still be open as normal from 9am to 1pm for all our lovely walk-in customers.

However, we’ll be temporarily unavailable on Just Eat and Uber Eats for the day.

With how incredibly busy we’ve been lately, we’ve decided to use this time to get on top of some of the behind-the-scenes jobs and give the cafe the deep clean it deserves. Sometimes the espresso machine gets the spotlight, sometimes it’s the skirting boards. 😄

Thanks so much for your understanding and continued support. We’ll be back on delivery platforms as normal after that 💛

12 corporate lunch boxes, 1 corporate buffet, a fully gluten free box (swipe for the open box 👀), plus a full round of school lunches… all out the door by 12:15. All while serving the cafe and our online orders 💅👯‍♀️

Some days the kitchen feels less like a café and more like a beautifully organised food tornado 🌪️🥪

When we say busy… we mean busy. 😅

Today feels extra special. Not just because it’s my birthday 🎂, but because it’s another year of being able to live out something that once started as a conversation, a dream, and a leap of faith.

To every single person who has walked through our doors, grabbed a coffee, shared a smile, recommended us to a friend, or supported our little business in any way... thank you. You’ve helped build something that means more to us than words can ever fully capture. This café is what it is because of the people behind it, beside it, and the community that keeps believing in it.

And today, I want to shine a light on someone who rarely asks for it.

My partner... the quiet force behind so much of this. The silent partner. The one who pushed me and my sister to believe we could actually do this when it still felt impossible. The one who has stood in the background, never needing the spotlight, just wanting to see us succeed.

He’s the person who makes me feel safer, stronger, and more believed in than I ever thought possible. The kindest, most honest man... and somehow the easiest person in the world to love.

So today I’m celebrating another year, but more than that, I’m celebrating the people who made this life possible.

Wow… we’re honestly busier than ever right now, and we just want to say a massive thank you to every single person who’s been through our doors recently. The support has been incredible. ❤️

Even with our kitchen now fully recruited and new faces joining the team, we’re still working flat out to keep up with the demand — so thank you for your patience during the busy periods while we find our rhythm. We promise we’re giving it everything we’ve got!

Yesterday was extra special with our Kitchen Takeover, which went down an absolute treat… and apparently it also turned into “Bring Your Fiancé to Work Day” 😂

Thanks for keeping us so busy, supporting local, and making this little café what it is. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
