💒 Prested Hall 💒
Steeped in history, Prested Hall is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it was recorded under the name Peresteda.

Key details from the Domesday Book entry for Prested Hall:
Name: Peresteda.
Owner in 1086: Ranulf Peverel (Ralph Peverell), a Norman knight who was granted numerous manors by William the Conqueror.
Previous Owner (before 1066): A man named Brictmar (or Brictmarus) held it freely.
Resources noted: The survey recorded two beehives, a mare, and a foal at the site.

The Domesday Book was a great land survey ordered by King William I to assess the value and resources of his new kingdom for taxation purposes. The original Domesday Book is a public record held at The National Archives in Kew, London.

Today, Prested Hall is a Grade II-listed 15th-century part-moated manor house that operates as a wedding and events venue with health and wellness facilities.
