Summer tones for Annie and Pete’s wedding at beautiful Butley Priory last weekend.

Soft pinks, peaches, whites and lush greens filled the Great Hall before being moved to the marquee for the reception.

Such a lovely day to be a part of 🌸🌿

April snippets 🌸🌿

A mix of daffodils, tulips, and all the in-between moments.

Some lovely sunny days, my new favourite little jug, and my first cornflower starting to bloom.

Hello May — looking ahead to beautiful weddings and more flower filled days 🌿🌸

March in small moments 🌿

This past month has felt like a gentle shift into the season. Slow mornings in the polytunnel, seeds being sown, and those first signs of life in the flower patch.

From spring blooms to creative days — including a beautiful workshop held by and at 🌼 — March, you’ve been a good one.

Why the best wedding flowers are grown, not flown. 🌸🐝

Did you know that Essex and Suffolk are home to a thriving map of flower farms? When we are designing the aesthetic of your wedding day, choosing British, locally grown, and seasonal blooms is one of the most impactful decisions you can make.

As a planner, I love local stems for more than just their beauty:
🌼 The Freshness Factor: Stems cut from a nearby field haven't spent days in a refrigerated truck. They are vibrant, strong, and at their absolute peak.
🌼 The Sustainable Strategy: Reducing "flower miles" is a simple way to significantly lower your wedding’s environmental footprint.
🌼 Supporting the Ecosystem: You’re directly investing in local small businesses and helping our native bee populations thrive.

The Planner’s Tip: Instead of a single specific variety that might be out of season, give your florist your colour palette and overall "vibe." Let them work their magic with what the season is currently offering for the most authentic result. 🌿

From spring bulbs to autumnal textures, embracing the time of year ensures your wedding feels grounded, intentional, and perfectly "you."
