This little reel sums up what wedding videography means to me, and why I’ve had the best job for the past 10 years (and still do!).
Giving couples who trust me the chance to see themselves — and their guests — through a professional lens, with thoughtful composition, beautiful light, and real depth, is the best part. Authentic, natural, and completely true to the day.
Over the years, I’ve learnt that a completely hands-off approach doesn’t serve couples. Whilst most of the day is definitely about observing, blending in, and not being noticed, gentle direction is often a big part of what couples are investing in when booking me — knowing when to step in, guide you into the best light, or create space for a quiet moment together. It’s experience that allows those moments to be shaped without ever making them feel staged.
And arguably most importantly to me, it’s about the moments that happen in between the guaranteed, predictable ones — the moments experience teaches you to anticipate. While those first moments matter, it’s the quiet, unscripted in-betweens that feel the most special.
Thanks for listening to my TED Talk 🤣 If you fancy a deeper chat about why I believe wedding videography is irreplaceable when done properly, come and see me at Layer Marney Tower this Sunday, 11–2. 🫡
And lastly, the reel mentions that I’m proudly recommended at Layer Marney Tower. I genuinely do take great pride in being recommended by all of the venues I work with purely on merit, and not through paid commission or referral fees.
