Get ready, because Kate Barron is landing on our stage — and she is not here to be subtle.
Vancouver-born, London-based, and certified funny by literally hundreds of comedians she's beaten: Kate is the first-ever woman to win Toronto's legendary Comedy Brawl (400 comics, one trophy, she took it). Her Edinburgh Fringe debut Losing Myself sold out Soho Theatre and picked up Best Debut Show honours before getting turned into a Next Up Comedy special. She's opened for SNL royalty and is a fixture at The Comedy Store and Top Secret Comedy Club.
Now she's bringing that razor-sharp, painfully honest, laugh-till-it-hurts energy straight to Colchester. 🔥

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Jo Fletcher-Cross passed away last night. 💔

Jo was a wonderful presence in the UK comedy scene, and she will be deeply missed.

I'm so glad that she knew the Colchester Comedian of the Year trophy — the Jo Fletcher-Cross Trophy — was named in her honour. That legacy lives on every time we take to the stage.

Rest easy, Jo. 🌟
