A few drops of rain, a stack of clear umbrellas and absolutely no interest in moving the ceremony indoors.

Victoria and Niall married beside Ullswater with the fells behind them and everyone they love gathered around the gazebo. The weather added atmosphere, the umbrellas looked brilliant and the smiles never shifted.

This is exactly why a slightly uncertain forecast doesn’t worry me. The day still happens, people still laugh and the photographs often become even more memorable.

A cracking sunset, the Lorton Valley looking its absolute best and Richard & Laura enjoying a few quiet minutes together by the pond at New House Farm. Even one of the horses wandered over to join us. 😄📸

A cracking wedding at New House Farm 😍

Richard & Laura’s brilliant day at New House Farm, right in the heart of the Lorton Valley.

Such a relaxed day with loads of genuine moments, plenty of laughs and a little wander out into the Lake District scenery for some portraits too. 🥰📷

New House Farm is always a favourite of mine, and being just a few miles from home certainly doesn’t hurt either. 😄

A little perspective.

Sophie and Matthew taking a walk beneath the rather magnificent one of those settings where stepping farther back tells the story better than moving closer.

The historic building, open lawn and distant Cumbrian landscape give this photograph such a wonderful sense of place. A wedding portrait, but also a reminder of exactly where their day happened.

And despite being tiny in the frame, the way they’re looking at one another still does all the work.

A beautiful bride, an extraordinary bouquet, and florals worthy of their own moment 🌸

Shaye looked incredible, and this soft, romantic arrangement brought the whole bridal look together perfectly. Every layer revealed another lovely detail—from the blush roses and delicate textures to the eucalyptus and trailing greenery.

Two people enjoying their confetti rather more than anyone reasonably could have hoped for.

Lynn and Steve came through the middle of their guests absolutely beaming, with blue-and-white confetti everywhere and the Ullswater fells making a fairly spectacular backdrop.

It’s difficult to manufacture this kind of expression—which is exactly why the walk back down the aisle is always worth watching closely.

A quiet five minutes above Windermere 🤍

Wedding days move quickly. One minute you’re surrounded by music, conversation and everyone you love; the next, you’re walking through a meadow together with the Lake District stretching out behind you.

Lucy and David were an absolute joy to photograph at . Relaxed, completely themselves and clearly having the best time—and that look between them made this particular moment.

The dramatic Cumbrian sky, the wildflowers and one of the finest views over Windermere made a fairly lovely backdrop too.

Congratulations again, and . What a day!
