As we all recover from the heat on Sunday & our 4th Half Marathon & 4 mile race St Fechins GAA would like to take this opportunity to thank the huge number of people it takes to make the day a success.
To all the runners many thanks for your participation, good spirits and we hope you have recovered from the heat!
To Ronan & Eimear at My Run Results for their expertise and professionalism which is second to none. The race was started by Cllr Michelle Hall, current Mayor of Drogheda – many thanks for joining us.
To our Hi-viz volunteers – too many to mention but without your participation we could not host this event, - leaflet delivery, putting up signs, car parking, on the road around the route, water stations, photographers, bag collection, bottle collectors, medal giving, tea makers, bakers & Sandwich makers & bringing up the rear our cyclists – thank you to each and every one of you.
To our wonderful Samba Mamas who got us off to a great start and gave a boost on route when needed, the Irish Red Cross for their expertise and to Mark on the mike for keeping us all updated. To An Garda Síochána, many thanks for all your advice and assistance on the day which made it a very safe event for all. Also to the onside physio Marius Kiznis and to Noel for the use of his van.
Many thanks to our local community & businesses for their support including some inconvenience with traffic diversions.
Finally to our Race committee lead by Ighni, Peter & Norman and their small band of “Zoomers” well done on running another successful event…until next February when we go again!!
