2 stages at FLY Open Air last weekend under the castle in Edinburgh's beautiful Princess Street Gardens.
Main stage PA was covered by all Danley Sound Labs flown J3s, SH46 and SH95HO fills and BC215 subs. SH46 and 118 subs for DJ monitors.
Arena cancelling subs were BC218s.

Stage 2 was covered by flown J7s, SH110s and Th118 XL with SH50 and 118s as DJ monitors.

The arena canceling subs are a fairly new thing we have been doing for noise sensitive sites, which can only really be done with BC subs due to their superior rear rejection. Subs are placed behind the front of house position and time, phase and gain aligned to the main array in the arena, then put out of phase to cancel the LF program from the whole arena on the busy shopping street the stage is pointing at. Timing and amplitude are tweaked thorough the show as humidity and temperature changes occur.
This results in the offsite LF program going down by 12-14 db on a 15 min LEqC with the canceling subs on and that brings the offsite down to the same level as the traffic whilst the dancfloor was bouncing.

Fun in the sun last weekend providing control, mics, engineers and monitor systems for Garage Classical at Kew The Music in London for our pal Jonny Opo.

Orchestral gigs can be tricky, but with the correct microphones from DPA Microphones and Schertler Acoustics Swiss Made the source can breath and the mix can sing.
