This was a day of ‘Off the scale’ celebrating, and easy to see why half the guests had flown from the other side of the world to spend the day with them.

After weeks of glorious sunshine, in the middle of a UK heatwave, the Ribble Valley weather decided to mix things up meaning the ceremony moved indoors. But honestly, if Saad and Rachel were disappointed, they hid it incredibly well. The day was absolute joy!

They laughed, they cried the happy tears, they hugged everyone, and they squeezed every last drop out of the day. It was impossible not to smile right along with them.

Weddings are special for loads of reasons, but this one was right up there.

James Burton and I go way back to when we were about 18 - nights out in clitheroe. We’d lost touch over the years, so it was brilliant when he messaged to ask if I’d come out to Greece to capture his and Katie’s wedding.

As is the case with destination weddings, it’s also great to be out there for a few extra days - usually I would photograph a pre party, but on this occasion it was a few beers with the guys the night before and a few more drinks with everyone around the pool the day after. Not a bad gig, really.

Fast forward around 9,000 photos, hours of culling (and asking myself why I take so many photos 😂), and their gallery is nearly finished.

What a wedding. Beautiful venue, brilliant people, sunshine, laughter, emotional moments, absolute dance floor chaos... basically everything you could want from a wedding day. But more than anything, it was just really lovely catching up with an old friend and picking up where we left off.

It was such a privilege to be part of it all.
And Greece... it was the second wedding I’ve photographed there and honestly, what a place to get married. I wouldn’t mind doing a few more of these. 🇬🇷☀️

Some great news last week - I picked up a story award from Vicky and James’ incredible 2 day wedding at Sudeley Castle Weddings - which amazingly is my 100th This is Reportage award!

What started as a passion for documenting real moments has taken me on an incredible journey, and reaching this milestone feels pretty special. Every award represents a couple trusting me with their story, and for that I’ll always be grateful.

What a year 2025 was, being named ‘photographer of the year’ with The Masters of UK wedding photography as well as with This is Reportage & IWPOTY

I’ve always considered ‘the Masters’ as one of the best awards in the UK and it was the first legit award I won in 2017 (as opposed to awards where ‘everyone wins’) and it’s so great that all styles are celebrated rather than some other awards that only champion what’s on trend that year. As my style mostly falls into ‘documentary story telling’ most of my winning images are that, but I love being able to enter some ‘couples portraits’ too as I also love taking those.

After coming 2nd 3 years in a row (something I was also massively proud of) I entered for the first time in a few years in 2025 and managed to get 26 awards throughout the year which secured the top spot amongst stiff competition.
