47 today. 🥂 So I’m celebrating me… and finally sharing something I’m incredibly proud of. ✨
I spend so much of my time thinking about the next show, the next costume, the next idea and everything that still needs doing that I’m not always very good at stopping to look at what I’ve already created.
Today feels like a pretty good day to do that.
I can finally share that my business “The Hideaway Cabaret” has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Creative Arts Business category, proudly representing Lancashire at the UK Small Business Awards 2026. 🏆✨
After already winning Creative Business at the Ribble Valley Business Awards this year, being recognised nationally for the creative side of what I do feels incredibly special.
Creativity has pretty much always been at the heart of who I am.
From the show concepts and costumes to the styling, staging and all the tiny details that eventually become a night at The Hideaway 🖤the creative vision is very much mine and it’s the part of the business I absolutely love but I’m also incredibly lucky to have Zoltan beside me🫶🏻 He supports every mad idea, brings a completely different set of skills to the table and somehow never looks too terrified when I start a sentence with “I’ve got an idea…”
So while the vision may start with me, having someone who believes in it, backs me and helps me bring the bigger ideas to life means more than I can say🥹
I’m also incredibly lucky that so many talented artists want to be part of what we’re creating and that so many have become woven into our little cabaret family. 🖤✨
So today I’m celebrating a little bit of everything.
47 years of me☺️The things I’ve created. The life we’ve built…and everything I still want to do.
Still creating. Still dreaming bigger. Still nowhere near finished. 💋🥂
