We’ve had Beth Lauren at Atlas before, but last time it was a midday gig. Pretty much as soon as she started singing, we knew we’d got the timing wrong. She needed bumping up to the night.

Her voice is properly good. The first time I heard her live I remember thinking it genuinely sounded like someone had just put a record on.

Expect traditional jazz numbers mixed with funky, electro-swing jazz vibes, and an absolutely banging voice over the top.

So we’ve got her back, this time where she belongs, Sunday night at Atlas.

Come down and see her, she’s mega.

There was a little mistake lurking in the last poster, so here’s the proper one!

October at Atlas is looking frighteningly good. We’ve got Afro Beats, Tacos & Tunes, food pop-ups with Franksfurters joining us every weekend, tons of original live music, Open Mic nights, youth centre record label showcases, jazz, spoken word, an art exhibition and even a secret Paint & Sip night.

Basically, a bit of everything we love about Atlas, loads of different people doing loads of different creative things under one roof.

Then we’re seeing October out properly with two nights of spooky rock & roll for Halloween šŸ‘»

Have a look, save it, share it about and come spend some spooky season with us.

If you shared the last poster, please swap it for this one! šŸ–¤

Bring your songs, bring your instrument, or just bring yourself and come hang out. Originals, covers, songwriters, first-timers, seasoned players, whatever you’ve got, we want to hear it.

We’ve had loads of people asking when the next one is, so we’re thinking this might need to become an every Tuesday thing…?

Well… we only went and won TWO awards!!

Friday night was a bit surreal. We went to The Business Hive Great Big Small Business Awards not realeeaally knowing what to expect and came away with two awards… aaand Ava only went and won Inspiring Employee too!! Which, if you know Ava and everything she puts into Atlas, is very very well deserved.

We’re genuinely so surprised, proud and incredibly thankful.

And I think Friday pretty much summed up what Atlas is all about. While we were at the awards, Elson and niph. were back at Atlas putting on an absolute belter of a show. We then went pretty much straight from the awards back to the venue to help the team clean up and get everything ready to do it all again on Saturday.(maybe a couple of bevs to celebrate!)

Then Saturday, Matilda Shakes and roulette absolutely smashed it. Seeing an out-of-town original band come to Cleethorpes, fill the room and get that kind of atmosphere going in Atlas is exactly the sort of thing we wanted to happen when we started this place.

Anyone involved in grassroots music knows the reality behind it all… the long hours, late nights, early mornings, shifting gear, cleaning floors and doing a million little jobs that nobody ever sees. Our staff have been absolutely amazing through all of it, and Atlas simply wouldn’t be what it is without them.

So this is really just a massive thank you.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, bought a ticket, bought a pint or a coffee, played on our stage, exhibited something, performed, promoted a night, curated an event, told somebody about us, shared a post or just turned up and supported what we’re trying to do! Thank you!!

And especially to all the brilliant people who have trusted Atlas with their ideas and brought so many different, weird and wonderful events into the space. That’s what we always wanted it to be, somewhere people could make things happen.

We’ve not even been open that long, and there’s still loads we want to do.

But for one night at least, it was really lovely to stop and realise how far this little place has already come.

Thank you, you beautiful people. ā¤ļø

Jam night tonight!

You know the drill… bring an instrument, bring your voice, bring a song you fancy having a go at or just turn up and get involved.

No idea what we’ll end up playing, which is kind of the point.

Come make some noise with us!

Right then… the kids are back at school. What about the grown ups?

We’re starting something new at Atlas:

Every Tuesday through term time, we’re opening from 11am - 1pm for our Back to School Club. A couple of hours made for actually getting out of the house, seeing some people and having a proper grown up conversation.

This isn’t a baby group. You don’t need to book. You don’t need to know anyone. And there’s no awkward organised fun šŸ˜‚

Come on your own, bring a mate, bring a book, have a coffee, eat some cake, have a glass of w**e if that’s the sort of Tuesday you’re having…

We’ll have hot drinks, iced coffees, matcha & chai, sweet treats, light bites, acoustic music and various bits going on from week to week: quizzes, book clubs, crafts and socials.

Parents, carers, grandparents, cool aunties/uncles, everyone’s welcome.

We’re running it every Tuesday until October half term, then we’ll see where we go from there.

Come and give the first one a go!

We love our Jam Nights, but sometimes the jam is in full swing and it’s hard to stop for someone wanting to play a song or two… so we’re making Open Mic Night official!

Originals, covers, songwriters, singers, musicians — anyone welcome. Come down, get up and play us something. I’ll probably have a go myself too šŸ˜‚

No pressure, just a friendly room and a chance to play.

Bring us your songs! 🫶

This one is gonna be ridiculous.

We’ve got CONGRATULATIONS coming to Atlas on Saturday 7th November.

These guys were recommended to me by someone whose music taste I trust massively after they caught them at The Great Escape Festival and basically said, ā€œyou need to get this band in Atlas.ā€

So… we did 🤯

They’re absolutely amazing and I genuinely think this is gonna be one of those gigs where afterwards everyone’s asking ā€œwhere the hell did you find them?!ā€

And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got the amazing MINT supporting too šŸ™Œ

Honestly, go have a listen to Congratulations’ debut album Join Hands, then come and see them in a room this size while you still can.
