Today was our 2nd Crazy Bowls day hosted very kindly by our good friend Rob Dunford.

Experienced bowlers, friends and family of our members and guests who just wanted a fun day out turned up and had a great day. Weather held off, everyone fed and watered, everyone smiling - the important bit!

Well done to everyone who played. Congrats to all prize winners, Archie Wood best scoring junior, Lewis Pember best score for the day, losing semi finalists Phil Bryant and Lacey and Caroline and Ian Mulligan, losing finalists Lewis Pember and Skarlett.

And then the winners 😬 Knocking Nigel Miller and Shack off their perch was Liz Ellis carrying Chris Ellis with her massive points score in the final. Chris did his bit for his mam topping the points up with some wonder bowls that Lewis fought hard to beat and get more points for him and Skar. He did but it wasn't enough. Liz (and Chris 😉) were crowned the winners.

Thank you to everyone involved. Hope everyone new to bowls and Spen had a great day. Massive thanks to Rob for sparing his time and running such a great day of fun again. Look forward to the next time 👍

This weekend , 29th & 30th Aug sees the final two days of qualifying for the Spen Masters. At present Saturday is full, but we have spaces available for Sunday. All previous rounds have been full, with some tremendous bowling , which bodes well for the final . It would be a shame not fill this final qualifier, so if you’re free at the weekend come along and give it a go , you’ve got to be in it to win it. Contact Pete Ellis , +44 7578 646565
