When I first looked at being a celebrant I learnt that the places that people can marry is very limited, even at some venues only 1 place/room may be licensed. Also ceremonies can only be held for a limited time each day, usually office hours. My first thought was, what about the person that dreams of a
midnight wedding on the beach, under a full moon. My second thought was, I want to be able to give that person their dream! What's your dream?

In England and Wales ONLY registrars and certain religious officials can perform legal marriages. If you choose a celebrant to lead your ceremony, you will need to book a date to legally register your marriage/partnership beforehand. Currently in Essex registering your marriage costs £ 57

I also trained in Naming and Welcoming ceremonies for our little one's. Many parents do not want the church led service, but do want supporting adults/guiding adults/Godparents. That is still an option, the difference is that a faith based service asks them to support their relationship with God, a celebrant led service asks them to support the child and the parents. All ceremonies I offer have the freedom to be where you decide, in the woods, in your home, the list goes on. This is also true for what is involve in the ceremony. You are limited ONLY by your imagination.
