Good morning folks, just look at that beautiful blue sky above the marquee at Didmarton last year, that's the kind of weather we all hope for at any festival. Sadly it doesn't look like the weather is going to be quite as glorious as that this year, however, fret not, we have a huge marquee with room for everyone, the real ale bar is bigger this year, so more undercover space while drinking, plus there's the Clubhouse and Goody's Diner has it's own marquee too. Please be prepared for possibly inclement weather, the forecast at the moment is for showers, so fingers crossed that's all we get. If you do wear a hat to keep the weather off, please remember, we respectfully request that all tall and wide brimmed hats are removed in the marquee, so the person behind you can see the stage too, thank you. Whatever the weather, the music and atmosphere will still be fabulous. 🌞☀️🌦☂️

Good evening folks, it is just a short week until first concerts of Didmarton 2025 will be getting underway! We understand and share your excitement about being back in the marquee with all your friends and fellow bluegrass fans and we want everyone to enjoy all the sights and sounds the concerts have to offer. With that in mind we respectfully request that all tall and wide brimmed hats are removed whilst you are in the marquee, so as not to impair the view for your fellow attendees and during the performances themselves, please respect the musicians and pause all conversations. Just think, 'No Hats, No Chats, While The Music Makes Your Toes Tap!'
Thank you. 😊

After the success of last year’s Kidmarton performance the Didmarton kids will once again have the chance to perform on the stage at this year’s festival. The Kidmarton workshop is a chance for all young musicians to come together in the morning and learn a song or two and then share their results in the afternoon concert. Last year was fantastic and we’re looking forward to more of the same this year. This year’s Kidmarton will also feature a set by the young bluegrass band Rockfield Drive.

Rockfield Drive (formerly known as The Sugar Donuts) are a young three piece Bluegrass band from Cheshire (average age 13 years 5 months!) Eve, Fred and Freya play a variety of instruments including, double bass, guitar, banjo, mandolin and vocals. They play a mixture of bluegrass and related roots music but also expect to hear some Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse in the mix!

Young musicians are the future of this music, so please come along and support all of the young players in their performance.
