Yesterday I had the pleasure of filming Rosie & George’s beautiful wedding, starting with a lovely ceremony at St Bartholomew’s Church in Areley Kings before heading over to The Holt Fleet in Worcester for the reception.

I’ve put together a behind the scenes video showing how I approach a wedding day, including my camera setup, how I position my equipment throughout the ceremony and reception, and a few sneak peeks of some of the footage captured during the day.

A huge thank you to Joey for coming along and helping out. Having an extra pair of hands made a massive difference, and I’m looking forward to seeing some of the great shots he captured.

Now it’s time to start going through all the footage and putting together a beautiful wedding film for Rosie & George to enjoy for years to come.

What an incredible day filming Rosie and George’s wedding today.

A beautiful church ceremony, followed by a fantastic reception surrounded by family and friends. Thank you both for trusting me to capture your special day. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of it, and I can’t wait to start putting everything together into a film you’ll be able to look back on for years to come.

A huge thank you as well to Joey for coming along and helping throughout the day. Your support was massively appreciated, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the amazing footage you’ve captured.

Now it’s time to back up the footage, grab a well earned rest, and start the editing process.

What a beautiful day for a wedding! ☀️

Today I’m filming Rosie and George’s wedding at St Bartholomew’s Church in Areley Kings.

I’ve already been out capturing plenty of establishing shots of the venue, along with some drone footage while the weather is on our side. The church and surrounding grounds look absolutely stunning in the sunshine.

Right now it’s a waiting game. The groom is due to arrive in around 10 minutes, with the bride expected about 45 minutes after that. Then the real magic begins.

Looking forward to capturing every moment of their special day and creating something they can look back on for years to come.

Had a fantastic day yesterday at Tom and Alicia’s wedding in Oxford!

Tomorrow’s wedding setup 🎥

A lot of people only see the final wedding film, but there’s a huge amount that goes on behind the scenes before the day even starts, and long after the wedding finishes too.

A typical wedding day for me is around 12 hours on location, followed by another 13+ hours editing over the next few days to turn everything into the final film.

Tomorrow’s setup includes:

• Canon R6 Mark II
• 2x Canon R10
• Canon 200D

Lenses:

• RF 24-105mm f/4 L
• 2x EF 24-105mm f/4 L
• RF 50mm f/1.8
• RF 35mm f/1.8
• RF 16mm f/2.8
• RF 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3

Audio:

• 3x Rode VideoMic GO II shotgun mics
• 4x DJI Mic transmitters

Additional equipment:

• DJI Mini 5 Pro drone
• Insta360 X4
• 2x GoPro Hero 10s
• 3x Neewer LT32 tripods
• V Mount battery systems
• Camera cages
• Backup batteries
• Backup cables
• Multiple 256GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SD cards

Everything is packed, charged, checked and ready before we even arrive at the venue.

The goal is simple. Capture the day properly and make sure there’s always backup equipment ready if anything goes wrong

I’m Luke from Cotswold Video
