I absolutely love being a celebrant. No matter what the event - wedding ceremony, naming ceremony, funeral/memorial ceremony etc - it always brings such warmth and love to life.

I don't see myself as greedy or gimmicky. A lot of hard work went into achieving my NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Celebrancy. And good celebrants go to great lengths to create ceremonies that perfectly represent their clients. It is horrible to be misrepresented like this. It's NOT all about Humanism.

Portraying civil celebrants as greedy profit-makers conducting gimmicky ceremonies, last week's Westminster Hall session arguing for Humanist marriages was quite the eye opener ...
