📣We’re delighted to share that two Chorley events have been announced as finalists in the Lancashire Tourism Awards, which recognises excellence across the tourism sector.

🌸The blooming marvellous Chorley Flower Show which reached new heights this summer, welcoming around 15,000 visitors to Astley Park, has been shortlisted in the Large Event Award category.

🏃Meanwhile, the Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run, delivered in partnership with Fylde Coast Runners attracted around 3,000 race participants plus thousands of supporters back in May, securing a well-earned place in the Small Event Award category.

Incredible visitor numbers to these events helped to boost the local economy and showcased Chorley - the best of Lancashire all in one place, to visitors from across the region and beyond.

These events join Astley Hall, Coach House and Park, which was announced earlier this year as a finalist in the Small Visitor Attraction Award category.

🌸🧚‍♀️ Five-year-old Thea was the runner-up in our Children’s Design a Garden Competition with her imaginative ‘Bird and Fairy Garden’ design.

Thanks to local company Homescapes, Thea’s wonderful idea was brought to life, creating this enchanting garden at this year’s Chorley Flower Show.

🌿✨ Meet the talented young designer behind the Five Senses Garden at Chorley Flower Show!

The stunning garden was designed by 11-year-old Alistair, winner of our Children's Design a Garden Competition. His creative and thoughtful design was brought to life by local company Homescapes, creating one of this year's standout show gardens.
