This week I had the absolute pleasure of leading a Renewal of Vows ceremony to celebrate 20 years since the wonderful Leanne and Dave said ‘I do’ ❤️

The intimate ceremony in North Yorkshire was the perfect way to celebrate their love, surrounded by their closest family.

It was such an honour to retell their 23-year love story — complete with funny stories, chaos and plenty of unexpected plot twists! 😂

They renewed their promises with beautiful personal vows they had written themselves, and included a handfasting, with everyone adding their love and wishes for their future. 🫶

There was a new ring, a lovely reading, their dog played his part, and they even created a new first dance because neither of them could remember what their original one was!

20 years married, 23 years of love, and one beautiful life built together.

It was an absolute privilege to help them celebrate it. 💕

Absolutely thrilled to complete a Ceremonial Hand fasting course recently with the incredible Dawn Kinsella, Priestess of Avalon from Glastonbury Goddess Temple.

It was an amazing day and such a pleasure to learn from such an inspirational ceremonialist.

While handfasting is already a symbolic action I offer as part of my celebrant ceremonies, this course focused on the deeper ceremonial and ritual aspects of the tradition. It was fascinating to learn more about the history, symbolism and intention behind a ceremonial handfasting, where the ritual itself becomes the heart of the ceremony.

Looking forward to conducting these incredibly powerful, spiritual ceremonies in the future.

Yesterday I was invited to actual Buckingham Palace to a Royal Garden party again where I was actually TWINNING with telly's 👌

Given that I watch her every morning and bloody love her style, I was chuffed to bits! Like a wedding, a Royal Garden party is as much about getting the right dress as it is about watching the weather forecast to decide whether to straighten your hair and bring a brolly!

Now, it's not appropriate to get your legs out at Buckingham Palace, and as a *very sensible* Celebrant and Army veteran I obviously haven't shared a photo to prove this, but my dress is actually a two piece meaning I had to strip off my skirt à la Bucks Fizz in the olden days Eurovision in the toilets of both the Ritz and the Palace much to people's amusement / horror / shock (it was hard to judge which 🫣🤣)

'Twas a gorgeous day, made even better by the fact that I was reunited with my Invictus Games TEAM UK friends and teammates and Vic, the first time all three of us have been together since we competed 💛🖤

Have you heard the joke that starts 'a soldier walks into a bar'?

Well, in this instance the joke turned out to be a 21 year long Valentine's Day love story 💕

Over two decades in and Mr C and I are still showing up for each other every day and celebrating with top tier bants ... as this mornings cards demonstrate 😂. No mushy stuff here, but that's our narrative 🫶
