I don’t like running. I’m waiting for the epiphany where I start enjoying running. The only thing I enjoy less than running, is running in winter, but here we are.
Running gives me the opportunity to improve my physical and mental health, and to help me be the best husband and dad I can to my 4 girls, by improving my health and being here for the long term. Without a challenge and a goal though, I lack the discipline to get out running.
The last two years, I’ve run a half marathon in September (2024 Great North Run for Cure Leukaemia, 2025 Southport for Elsie’s Story). This year I’m delighted to be able to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 12th April, which means a lot of running to train in a mix of cold, dark and wet weather.
The reason I’m doing it is to support The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation. Their vision is to make allergy history. They want to prevent and eradicate allergic disease, starting with food allergy, and creating a world that is safe for all individuals. Hopefully with your kindness and generosity, we can help them further their their work.
