🤍 Real bride Lauren 🤍

Part 1…..

“Omg Brooke! I felt 1,00000000 dollars on Friday! I can’t thank you enough”

Ok so there are far too many amazing photos of this incredible wedding to share so here is one of two parts!

I had the upmost privilege of making this bespoke gown for Lauren. A draped, fully corseted, pure silk, fitted wedding dress. Completed with a matching neck scarf.

After trying different styles the perfect dress wasn’t easy to find and that’s where I came in.
Lauren already knowing my expertise, and armed with images of what she ideally wanted, I took her ideas and created a gown that was perfectly designed for her figure.
Even draping the bodice during the toile fitting to get the correct shaping and ‘pull’ across the corset.

So happy to be a small part of this special day 🫶🏼 Congratulations you gorgeous pair! 🥂

Rocking the crocs! It was so lovely to work with Poppy and bridesmaid Tilly. Giggles were all round every time the visited! 🙌🏼

I think it’s safe to say from the photos that this gorgeous couple had the best day and I am grateful to be a part of Poppy’s bridal journey!

Behind the scenes....

I have thoroughly enjoyed draping this bodice in silk Dupion. A bold choice for the bride and groom who are doing things a little different for their special day....but it totally suits their style!

I particularly love how the green tones in these natural fibres change in different light.

This is so much fun to be a part of!

Now for the next fitting and finishing touches....

I’m grateful for all photos, cards and even little gifts I receive from my brides…. But this is the best thing to read.

This is how I want every client to feel as they walk in my door and so to see it in words from a bride (and groom!) is so heartwarming to read. 🤍 Especially for a bespoke gown and extensive suit alterations!

When making bespoke gowns often brides opt for a hidden corset, allowing them to feel supported, their posture is on point and allows the fabrics to hang beautifully without random creasing or warping.

Corsets are always taboo, with brides thinking you’ll be unable to breathe, be uncomfortable and your body forced in ways it shouldn’t be….

They are far from this. 🫶🏼
When made or adjusted to your frame they are actually comfortable, support your body even better than shape wear/ bras can. You can also move in them easier than you think!….So the dance floor isn’t off limits and that 3 course meal you’ve paid a fortune for can definitely be devoured!

Moral of the story? If you feel you need some structure but worried about being restricted?…. Don’t be! A well fitted dress, made by someone with care and knowledge means you can party in all day and night without any worries 🤍
