Dicksonia Antarctica / Tree Fern

Leaves / Fronds are nearly a meter long
Magnificent long leaves that can easy reach 1.5m in a season.
Tree ferns are considered to be slow growing plant but this apples to the trunk only that usually grows about 2.5cm/Year.
BUT fronds grow very quickly in spring if the plant is watered often. It dees like a water and shady areas, but it can be grown in full sun too just more water is needed.
Can be grown in pots or in the ground. Needs winter protection, just wrap the base in fleece available from B&Q. No need to protect the leaves, they will grow back.

Came labeled as Cyathea Australis but I think its Cooperi

fast growing with an ultimate size of up to 12m. Lacy, elegantly arching fronds up to 4m in length
Shady spot is best, if planted in a sunny position, it will just need more water.
Mature plants are hardy to around -3 degrees for short periods, it will usually need protection during winter. Frounds can be cut for winter, they will grow back in spring.
Great plant for pots, so it can be bring inside before first frost, store in frost free cool room/ garage/ heated greanhouse or polytunel.

Well rooted
Great looking tropical plant, highly fragrant in the evening. Winter storage: frost free cold/dark place. Plant can be trimmed, watering reduced to a few drops. Can be kept as houseplant too.
Safety note: Brugmansia is toxic if consumed, so keep the plants out of the reach of children and pets.

Flowered this year. Hardy garden plant, suitable for shady areas, smells incredible!
this plant build produces new shoots in the ground for a while and then comes up in masses. Pot 12cm can have the same number of stems but much more new grow not yet visible.
