On 8 April 2010, Ferrari announced official details of the 599 GTO. The car is a road-going version of the 599XX and at the time Ferrari claimed that the 599 GTO was their fastest ever road car, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Ferrari Enzo!. Its engine produces 661 bhp at 8250 rpm, with 460 lb·ft of torque at 6500 rpm. At 1,605 kilograms the 599 GTO weighs almost 100 kg less than the standard GTB.
Rosso Corsa is an entirely fitting choice for the 599 GTO, connecting the car with generations of Ferrari competition machinery. Its gloss Grigio livery adds definition, with fine Rosso and silver detailing following the sculpted bodywork.
Presented in excellent condition throughout, the paintwork retains exceptional depth and a consistent gloss across the bonnet, flanks and rear bodywork.
The cabin is beautifully appointed and fit for both GT cruising and track use. Cuoio leather covers the lower dashboard, centre tunnel and headlining while lashings of carbon fibre cover the dash, door cards and centre console.
Supplied new by Dick Lovett Ferrari in April 2011, this 599 GTO has been used sparingly and dry stored throughout its life, covering just 8k miles from new.
The service book contains an impressive 13 stamps, demonstrating a consistent level of care rarely seen on such a low-mileage example.
