**Stories & Supper: Monday 1st June 🌲🦊🐭**
Join us for another magical Stories & Supper session as we step into the Deep Dark Wood and enjoy one of Julia Donaldson's best-loved stories, **The Gruffalo**! 🌲✨
We'll bring this wonderful tale to life through imagination, movement, music, and creativity as we follow the clever little mouse on his woodland adventure.
🌳 Create the entrance to the Deep Dark Wood together using green scarves, tissue paper, and brown cardboard trees
🎖️ Every child will receive their own **Gruffalo Explorer Badge** before we tiptoe into the woods while listening to gentle woodland animal sounds
🎵 Use musical instruments to create sounds for each character:
🦊 The sneaky fox
🦉 The wise old owl
🐍 The slithering snake
🐭 The clever little mouse
👹 And of course... the Gruffalo!
🏃♀️ Move and play like the characters as woodland music plays:
🦊 Sneak like a fox
🦉 Fly like an owl
🐍 Slither like a snake
🐭 Scurry like a mouse
👹 Stomp like a Gruffalo!
🌲 Woodland Freeze Game:
When the music stops, curl up like a tiny mouse or stand tall and still like a tree!
📖 Enjoy an interactive storytelling session as we act out the story together and bring every page to life
🎨 Creative crafts:
Children can choose their own activity:
• Gruffalo and animal stick puppets
• Gruffalo masks
• Or create their own woodland masterpiece
⏰ Play a Gruffalo twist on a favourite game:
"Gruffalo, Gruffalo, what's the time?"
"DINNER TIME!" 🍝
🍅 Delicious tomato pasta and drinks to enjoy together
🫧 Big bubbles to finish if we're outdoors
