🏉 RESULTS 🏉

Intense game at Lobbingtons yesterday! Against last year's league play-off team, Topsham RFC. A few sick notes resulted in a change of team, but the team adapted, along with an injury to captain Reg in the first half after a big tackle, meaning Strider stepped up to the plate. Chew led at half time 14 - 7. In the last 5 mins Topsham were awarded a penalty kick in front of the post but the pressure got to them. Only 7 points in it and we have hit the 80-minute mark. A late try from Topsham RFC in extra time left the score even at 34 - 34. An impressive game from Chew, with more intensity and an improvement from when we last faced Topsham.

Try Scorers
Jake Newman
Jack Monk
Will Knight
Ryan Randell
Harry Stride
Conversions and Penalty kicks

POM - Fin Flook and Will Knight

2nd team headed to Yatton Rugby Club new ground for their open day, with a later KO of 3pm. Coming to the end of the game, Chew were on Yatton's heels 29 - 22, but Yatton pulled away in the end, finishing 48 - 22.

🐾 From Panthers to Cats… the future is looking PAWsome! 🐾

Each week, a different Valley Cats player has been heading down to Panthers training to lend a hand, get to know the girls and share a little senior rugby wisdom along the way!

Building those connections early is a brilliant way to help make the transition from junior to senior rugby feel that little bit easier, giving the girls the opportunity to learn, grow in confidence and see what lies ahead.

And what a group of girls they are! The Panthers numbers are impressive, and the squad is packed with talent. There is so much potential coming through, and we have no doubt these girls will make a big impact on the senior game in the years ahead.

It's an exciting time for girls' rugby at Chew Valley, and we can't wait to see what the future holds! 💚🏉
