Bank Holiday weekend has landed, the weather forecast is great, which route are you planning to tackle this weekend? We are off to check out the bluebells at Reservoir Slogs tomorrow and we might add Eye Spy on Monday.

🎉🎉 We have our first Chesterfield 42k Challenge finisher!! 🍾🍾

Meet Jane! She entered the Challenge with her daughter. Jane has walked her way round all seven routes and told us that she's really sad it's over. Thankfully her daughter hasn't yet finished the Challenge so Jane's looking forward to an excuse to go round with her to do the routes again!

Congratulations Jane - absolutely brilliant work!

Route 4 of the Chesterfield 42k Challenge is a 5km classic. The aptly named Peacock Parade gives you an opportunity to spot these beautiful birds and their extravagant plumage.

The first part of the route runs alongside the Hipper River, before the route takes you past Somersall Hall. Keep your eyes peeled here for the Peacocks roaming free. Apparently they have wandered this area for the last 45 years. We love a good selfie with the Peacocks!

Run, jog or walk the route alone or with family & friends (just stick to Covid guidelines please!). All our routes are dog friendly, so why not take your four legged friend to keep you company (just keep them on a lead near the peacocks)! Running the route this weekend? Don’t forget to take pictures and tag us in them.

Hoping for a break in all this rain to get out and for a run and see the bluebells! Has anyone managed to get out over the last week?!

Route 3 of the Chesterfield 42k Challenge, Tramping Feet, is the longest of our 7 routes and it’s a beauty. At 10km with 132m of elevation, it’s also the most challenging route.

The early parts of this trail run go through Poolsbrook Park. After a steady climb up to Duckmanton and a short road section, you’ll find yourself on gorgeous wide open trails, including a section of the Trans Pennine Trail. With expansive views of the surrounding area, look out for the wind turbine and solar panels.

Run, jog or walk the route alone or with family & friends (just stick to Covid guidelines please!). All our routes are dog friendly, so why not take your four legged friend to keep you company! Running the route this weekend? Don’t forget to take pictures and tag us in them.
