Ellena + Danny
What a day this was.
The morning started at a beautiful Airbnb in Chester, where Ellena got ready with some of the best bridesmaid energy I’ve seen in a long time. There was laughter from the moment I arrived, plenty of excitement, and a lot of people making sure everything was perfect.
A special mention has to go to Ellena’s brother, Ben. Every wedding has that one person quietly keeping things moving behind the scenes and for this wedding, it was definitely him. From helping with the dress to making sure all the little details were taken care of, he was worth his weight in gold all day.
Back at The Fields Wedding Venue, guests were welcomed by the fabulous Francesca, whose singing provided the soundtrack to the entire day.
One of my favourite moments came during the ceremony when it looked like the rings had been forgotten. A brief moment of panic quickly turned into laughter when Ellena’s dad returned with the couple’s dog, who made a surprise appearance and completely stole the show.
There were so many lovely moments throughout the day. Emotional family hugs, a brilliant speech from Ellena’s dad, a joint speech from the newlyweds, and some very special time spent with family members from different generations.
As for the portraits... September really showed off. Warm sunshine, beautiful soft evening light and those perfect early golden hour conditions that make autumn weddings so special in the UK. We headed out just before sunset and were rewarded with the dreamiest light for their couple portraits.
Ellena looked absolutely incredible in that dress, Danny couldn’t stop smiling at her all day, and they were surrounded by the loveliest group of family and friends.
A genuinely beautiful day from start to finish.
