Our corkage-free packages offer more than just a significant saving. They offer choice.

Our key principle is to make your wedding or event as personal to you as possible and this should start with your welcome drinks.

If you love being outdoors, your wedding styling doesn’t need to fight against the setting — it can work beautifully with it.

With outdoor, tipi, and marquee weddings, the backdrop already brings so much. It’s not about filling every corner — it’s about adding thoughtful details that feel relaxed, personal, and completely you.

Think natural textures, soft tones, and details that feel completely at home in the landscape around you. Linen draping, seasonal flowers, candlelight, and plenty of space to let the surroundings shine.

That’s what makes it feel timeless.

Save this for your wedding moodboard.

Your wedding day will go by so much quicker than you expect. Long after the flowers have gone and the music has finished, it’s the photographs that bring everything back.

Not just the big moments, but the little ones too. The laughter between friends, the quiet moments together, the reactions you didn’t even realise were happening. Those natural, in-between moments are often the ones that mean the most.

That’s why choosing the right photographer matters so much. Someone who captures the atmosphere of the day, the people around you, and the moments that happen naturally — not just the posed photos.

Because at the end of it all, these are the memories you’ll come back to again and again.

Wedding planning is such an exciting time, but it can also feel like a lot. Between decisions, budgets, guest lists, and timelines, it’s easy to get caught up in the details and forget what it’s all about in the first place.

Our couples don't just get a venue, they get ongoing support to help take away some of the stress and confusion that come with planning a wedding. We have set up a WhatsApp group with each couple and Alice and Derek so as questions come to mind, they can be sent over for a quick answer.

We can't take everything off you though so here are a few simple ways couples stay connected through the planning process:

• Set aside time together where wedding talk is off limits
• Make decisions as a team, even the smaller ones
• Check in with each other when things feel stressful
• Remember it’s the two of you against the to-do list, not each other
• Create little moments away from planning to just enjoy being engaged

Your wedding day matters, but the relationship you’re building matters even more.

Your DJ does far more than just play music — they help shape the whole atmosphere of your evening. From the first dance to the final song, they keep the energy up, the dance floor full, and the night flowing smoothly.

One of the lovely things about our venue is that, thanks to our beautiful secluded location, we’re able to have music playing much later than many other outdoor venues. That means more time on the dance floor, more celebrations with your guests, and an evening that doesn’t have to end too early.

If you’re budgeting for your wedding, here are a few things worth keeping in mind:

• Prices can vary depending on experience, equipment, and how long they’re there for
• Many packages include setup, sound system, microphones, and lighting
• Peak summer dates and longer evening receptions can cost more
• Extras such as uplighting, additional speakers, or extra hours may increase the overall price
• A great DJ is an investment in the experience your guests will remember

If music is a big part of your day, it’s always worth making it a priority.

What matters most to you for the evening party — live band, DJ, or a bit of both?

What makes us different to many other outdoor venues is the level of support that we offer you.

So if you're getting married with us here at The Venue at Golborne, at our Staffordshire venue (The Venue at Gayton) or utilising our services in your own home with our The Venue at Home service - we look after the little things you haven't thought of.

This gives you back time and takes away stress so you can just relax and be part of your party.

Spring weddings have such a lovely feel to them — fresh flowers, soft colours, and that natural light you just can’t replicate. There's no surprise we see an increase in enquiries this time of year.
When it all comes together in an outdoor setting, a tipi, or a marquee, it’s less about following trends and more about creating a day that feels relaxed, thoughtful, and completely you.
From your ceremony space through to your tables, it’s the small, considered details that bring everything together.

Sometimes it’s the smaller, thoughtful touches that turn a lovely wedding into one that stays with people long after the day is over. Little luxuries that don’t shout, but quietly elevate the whole experience.

Here are a few details couples often say were really worth it:

• Custom stationery – the first hint of what your day will feel like.
• A signature scent – a simple way to bring all the memories flooding back.
• Velvet ribbons or soft linen tablecloths – subtle textures that make everything feel considered.
• Live music during dinner – it adds warmth, atmosphere, and a sense of occasion guests always remember.
• A content creator or same-day edit – a chance to relive the joy while it’s still fresh.

It’s rarely about doing more — it’s about choosing the details that matter to you.
What would be your wedding “must-splurge”?

Congratulations to all our newly engaged followers. It's a big and exciting step but one that can be overwhelming. Hopefully this will help...

Step One: Talk about your vision
Before you book anything, spend time chatting about how you want your day to feel. The setting, the atmosphere, the size, the season. Whether that’s an outdoor ceremony, a tipi celebration, or something completely your own, this vision guides every decision that follows.

Step Two: Set a realistic budget
Decide what really matters to you both. For many couples, that’s the overall experience for guests, the setting, or having support that takes the stress away. Knowing your priorities makes budgeting feel far less overwhelming.

Step three: Choose your date and venue
Once your date and venue are secured, everything else starts to fall into place. Your venue shapes the style of your day and helps determine which suppliers you’ll need — it’s often the first big “yes” of the planning journey.
