What is a niche?

It's a particular target audience or market suited to your skills, experiences and preferable area to work with. Eg ...A person in a gym whose target audience is pregnant women, or a baker targeting couples and wedding cakes.

I had not thought in depth about what or who my ideal client is. Until today.

So many subliminal messages offering me courses, message pop ups and social media posts were popping up unexpectedly.

So after much deliberation.....here we are!

Rosie wasn't just a rabbit.

She was soft ears to stroke on a bad day, the patter of tiny feet across the garden, the first living thing this child learned to care for gently and completely.

Whether Rosie had been part of the family for years or only a short while, the love that grew for her was real, and so is this grief.

Because love doesn't measure itself in time. A goodbye like this is often a child's very first brush with loss, and it teaches them something important, that loving something small and soft and warm is always worth the risk of one day having to say goodbye.

Rosie was loved.
Rosie mattered.

That will never change.

Losing a pet is often a child's first experience of grief, and it deserves to be taken just as seriously as any other loss.

As an independent celebrant, I write ceremony scripts for pet loss, helping families (and especially children) find the words when it's hard to find their own. A goodbye for Rosie, or for any much loved pet, can be gentle, honouring, and exactly as meaningful as any other ceremony I write.

If your family is going through this, you don't have to face it without the right words.

For anyone anxious rest assured I was so welcomed at Cheshire Brides in Frodsham. You will be too. They will now be on my suggested list of suppliers on my website. We stayed so long, we now face £100 parking ticket ....grrr! Oh well. I found my dress though......
