At the registry office, it’s one-fifty quid,

A pen, a smile, and a legally binding kiss,
Quick, affordable — simple bliss.

But down at the venue, it’s eight hundred smack,
For the very same line on the marriage track.
Two people, two witnesses, vows just as neat,
But the chairs have ribbons — oh, what a treat!

Now one says, “value’s in saving the dough,”
The other says, “ambience gives you that glow.”
Truth is, both weddings get you the ring,
It’s just how much sparkle you want with the thing.

So registry or venue, the math is quite funny —
Love costs the same, it’s the setting that’s money.

Before you jump into arranging your wedding think about this.

The costs for a simple mid week registry office wedding, including two witnesse4ss if £56.

Depending on the number of certificates, where you get married and where you live, there may be some extra smaller expenses.
