Natural Livery/Retirement Livery 🐎

✨ We have two rare spaces available for our full livery service from October! ✨

We offer a natural livery service with 24/7 turn out in small herds or pairs. We try to place each horse with their friends and we have lots of fields to rotate over, even in the winter!

We also have a few all weather pens if the weather is really bad and stables if needed, along with good natural shelter in the fields. 🌳 We can accommodate and adapt for horses’ individual forage needs too, and have a few good doers with us that have managed well through the changeable grass this year!

The full livery service includes ad lib hay/haylage, twice daily checks, rug changes, regular grooming, poo picking through the winter (harrowing through the summer), handling of routine appointments and feeding (hard feed not included), along with use of the facilities whenever suits. We have lights for the arena in the winter too.🐴

We also have a lovely arena and amazing off road hacking. We have a fantastic small yard with lovely people and a brilliant community, along with a pub next door and great coffee at Dunkertons! 🐎

We believe in keeping horses as naturally as possible and we aim to maintain high standards of care, even if they are sometimes a bit muddy! ☺️

🌟 We also have the option for training/exercise packages too.

Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Our first trainer for 2026 is here — and what a way to start.

Meet Clive Johnson.
With over 25 years spent understanding how horses truly think, Clive is the founder of Clive Johnson Horsemanship and a Level 2 Western Equestrian Society instructor who’s trained across America alongside some of the greats — Buck Brannaman among them. His real gift is connection: a calm, kind and genuinely effective way of building trust between horse and rider.

Here’s where to catch him at Hartpury:
• Main Arena — why connection matters, and how the Western approach helps you build a real bond with your horse
• Second Arena — a full roping demonstration, and a brilliant new activity to take home to your own horse
• Round Pen Talk Zone — the floor is yours for a relaxed Q&A, plus a look at his confidence-building retreats

And this is only the first name. More of the 2026 line-up coming soon.

Early-bird tickets from £35 — but only until 30 June.

As seen at this year’s Horse of the Year Show…
Emma Tytherleigh is coming to the British Liberty Show 2026 🐴🎭

Emma is a world-travelled equestrian performer whose journey began with a big dream and a deep love for animals. From discovering Trick Riding at 16, to performing across Europe in world-class productions like Cavalia and Cavalluna, to stepping into the HOYS arena she once sat in as a teenager — Emma’s story is pure inspiration.

But what makes Emma’s time at BLS so special isn’t just the spectacle — it’s the heart behind the training.

At BLS 2026, Emma’s demos will show:
🐴 How trust and partnership sit behind great performance
✨ That learning can be joyful, playful and effective
🎠 Why ponies (yes, Shetlands!) are capable of so much more than we think
🐶 How personality, patience and clarity create confident animal partners

Joined by her unforgettable team — Rocko, Rollo and Cowboy — Emma’s sessions are fun, educational and deeply uplifting. Perfect for families, horse-kids, professionals and anyone who believes horsemanship should make you smile and think.

Calling all horse-mad kids, brave teens, and the parents who support big dreams 🐴💫

We are SO excited to announce Thea Harkness of Thea Equestrian as a trainer at the British Liberty Show 2026 — and she’s bringing serious fun, inspiration, and boundary-pushing energy with her.

At just 14 years old, Thea is proving that anyone of any age can begin the journey into liberty and natural horsemanship. Her work shows that connection can start as play — and that learning with horses doesn’t have to be heavy or intimidating.

At BLS 2026, Thea’s demos will show that:
🌿 Liberty is for beginners (and kids!)
🐴 Connection comes before control
✨ Young riders absolutely belong in this space
🔥 And yes… bridleless fun is possible 🤯

Thea is inspiring the next generation to question tradition, lead with empathy, and believe that kindness and courage can go hand in hand.

If you’ve got a child who lives and breathes horses — or you believe the future of horsemanship should be lighter, kinder and more curious — this is one you won’t want to miss.
