This one was full of trials, freezing weather conditions, logistical surprises, lots of travel and long days! I don’t know if any of us were sure how this one would turn out but the whole team put in some proper graft and determination to get the best possible shots. It was of course, all totally worth it and it actually, don’t know about you but we think is one of our fav final collections so far! We’re still drooling over the Bentley too! 🤤👌🤩

It’s nearly the weekend and there are just too many decisions to make. What will the wether be like? ☀️🌥️What will I want to wear? 👗What do I fancy eating? 🍨Where shall we go? 🤷‍♀️

Well, I’m no Michael Fish but I’d say layering is a good shout since the good old uk weather still has no clue what it wants to do, and if you want to go somewhere where you don’t have to decide between sweet or savoury because they do it all, I’d suggest in Summertown!

Under the glow of a made-up moonlight, we stepped into a challenge that felt as vast as space itself. We transformed a simple studio set into a lunar landscape—an otherworldly set that wasn’t just built, but imagined into existence. This shoot reminded me that creativity is more than a skill; it’s the power to see beyond the obvious, to reimagine reality, and to solve problems with unique ideas.

Every detail, from the subtle texture of this “other worldly” surface to the play of shadow and light, was a puzzle piece fitting together to tell a story. For me, photography isn’t just about capturing a moment—it’s about creating an environment that fulfills a vision and exceeds expectations. When you dare to think outside the box, every project becomes an opportunity to push boundaries and bring a client’s dream to life with authenticity and realism.

Here’s to embracing challenges, trusting in creative intuition, and finding innovative solutions that elevate art to new heights. Let your imagination be the guide, and remember: sometimes, the most inspiring journeys are the ones that take you far beyond the familiar.

Yesterday was a special day….
Truly honoured to have been requested as the official photographer to capture a Royal visit to on behalf of .group Construction, celebrating the completion of this epic heritage renovation project to house such an important organisation. 📸✨

The Branch Trust plays a pivotal role in our community by addressing challenges such as rural isolation, poverty, and lack of opportunity. Their initiatives have reached hundreds of people in the local community, providing essential services like debt support, youth mentoring, and domestic abuse recovery programs. During the pandemic, they delivered 46,000 meals and 5,000 wellbeing packs to those in need.

As His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh said during the visit: “Thank you very much indeed for inviting me today to see the amazing project you have managed to bring to fruition. I would like to congratulate you on not just having the vision but seeing it all the way through.“
“Just by seeing the sheer number of people you have engaged with…you are doing some fantastic work.”

Shooting a bike light - that’s a simple product right? Wrong! ❌ And here’s why…

Not only is this a product that requires low light conditions but it is one that simultaneously emits an intense light beam straight at you, and since it’s a practical product why not throw a model into the mix as well? Challenge accepted! 🚴‍♂️✨

This is a revolutionary bike light that curves around to provide 360° visibility and we were tasked with showcasing not just the sleek design but also its game-changing impact on road safety.

That meant heading out at dusk, where the fading ambient light created both an opportunity and a challenge.

We mixed the ambient light with a couple of all terrain Profoto B10s - varying set-ups with one at the side acting as our key light with a strip soft box mount and one at the back just off shot to provide a hair-light.

These lights worked together to create a soft but clear light on our subject and the product while keeping the light of the bike as the star of the show.

Shooting as wide open as possible on a mix of 85mm prime for details and RF24-70mm for wider frames we were able to keep the ISO at 100 preserving s much file data as possible to produce crisp final images.

Balancing these elements was all about precision: dialing in the right mix of flash, ambient twilight, and the glow of the bike light itself to create a dramatic yet natural look.

The result? A dynamic series of shots that bring this innovation to life, highlighting how it enhances visibility from all angles - this is safety, redefined. 🔥🚴

New Year, New Intentions! 🎯✨

While trekking through the Beacons this week (in freezing mist and strong winds!), I took time to reflect on my goals—both for myself and how I can help others this year. 🤝

Last year (that feels weird to say) I ran intimate face-to-face photography workshops, helping people create better-quality images to market their products or services on social media. 📸 These sessions were a hit! But I kept hearing one question: *“Do you offer an online course?”*

So, this year, I’m making it happen! 🎉 I’m setting the intention to create a simple, affordable online photography course designed for anyone—no matter your skill level. This “access anytime” course will include:

On Tuesday, 19th November, Barnwood Trust hosted Nature Without Barriers - this was a pleasure to capture at the stunning which was transformed into a winter wonderland for the day! It was a truly inspiring event focused on making nature more accessible for disabled people and people with mental health conditions.

The event fostered thought-provoking conversations about overcoming barriers to accessing green and blue spaces, including physical, financial, cultural, and informational challenges.

Attendees heard from experts and organisations in Gloucestershire involved in Barnwood Trust’s learning programme, now forming the Access to Nature network.

Participants left with valuable tips and resources on how to make nature more inclusive and accessible for everyone.

🤌 Capturing a “vibe” is such a challenge in still imagery. It’s not tangible!!
It’s creating an atmosphere, a feeling that resonates deeply with the viewer when they see your images—and that’s what makes it so elusive, yet so vital.

📸 Creating lifestyle sets in studio is about setting the tone: the lighting, composition, and framing all work together to evoke the intended emotion. This shoot was all about creating an uber stylish “raw materials” focused vibe for the new collection of Edge watches by Bomberg.

🎬 But here’s the real test: how do you translate that vibe from still-life shots to a full production on-set with models? This is where the collaboration of a great team becomes invaluable.

👌A quality stylist is key to this process. They curate clothing, props, and even the smallest details that align perfectly with the vibe we’re trying to create. Whether it’s the texture of a fabric, the boldness of an accessory, or the subtleties of a backdrop, these elements fuse together to craft an immersive world for the product. On-set, every decision—down to the way a sleeve falls or the angle of a prop—can make or break that connection.

🪄 The magic happens when the styling, model energy, and photography all align seamlessly to pull viewers into the story. It’s not just a photo; it’s an experience, a moment, a mood. And while it’s a huge challenge, it’s also why I love what I do.

📸 Behind the Lens: Shooting on Location with Team GB Athlete Jamal Rhoden-Stevens for Beet It Sports

👟 About a month ago we wrapped an incredible shoot on location - this time at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London. The goal? To capture a mix of dynamic, in-use, and lifestyle images featuring Team GB sprinter Jamal Rhoden-Stevens, who is a proud brand ambassador for Beet It Sports drinks. This shoot wasn’t just about the athlete; it was about showcasing these products in a real-world, performance-driven environment.

✨ Shooting on location always brings unique challenges, especially when balancing the lighting needs of a reflective product with capturing a person whether they are a model, an athelete or anyone else! The key was in using strategic lighting setups that complemented both Jamal’s movements and the glossy texture of the products without overpowering the natural feel of the training facility. Every angle mattered, from ensuring Jamal’s form was hero-worthy to making sure the product was lit cleanly and clearly identifiable.

💪 Working with a team that shares a clear creative vision makes all the difference. Having everyone aligned on the “gold standard” (pun intended) allowed us to create a cohesive set of images that not only tell a story but also give the client plenty of options to work with.

✈️As a commercial photographer, I’m often traveling across the UK (and even further sometimes) to bring brands to life in real environments, like this one, while also creating complementary studio imagery for websites and campaigns. Whether I’m on a track or in a studio, the goal remains the same: delivering imagery that speaks to the brand and its audience.

🙌 Big thanks to Jamal, Beet It Sports, and the team for making this shoot an exciting and rewarding experience. Here’s to more collaborations that challenge the creative process and deliver incredible results.
