Want to know how to achieve the perfect score on 'Zero Hero' events?

For almost all of our events these days we use 'Zero Hero' scoring. That means the goal is to achieve zero penalty points throughout the course. Points are accrued by going off course, missing waypoints, and overspeeding. So it's simple really, just ride the perfect roadbook!

You aren't rewarded for going fast, the idea is to ride accurately and consistently, meaning anyone with a focused mind can do well at Zero Hero Adventure Rally events.

Yes, that's right... You too can be a 'Zero Hero' 😉

The nights are drawing in quickly, and October is only just around the corner. Whilst many people are hunkering down, bracing for the winter and carving pumpkins, a few of us are preparing for one of the most exciting motorcycling experiences on offer in the UK.

The Dark Skies Rally, the two-day roadbook Adventure Rally which runs through the night in the deep darkness of Kielder forest, is fast approaching. With 90% of the riding being off-road and through remote forestry areas, it's no wonder it's another sell out event.

The results for the 2026 Blazing Saddles Challenge are now in!

What an epic challenge it has been! And what stunning commitment from the RallyMoto community... The numbers speak for themselves:

Total Distance Navigated: Since June 1st, riders have completed an impressive 341 routes, covering 51,150kms of roadbook navigation.

12 riders have won the DUST DEVIL Hoodie by completing 8 or more routes.

30 riders have earned their ‘MISSION ACCOMPLISHED’ Tshirt by completing 4 or more routes.

And now to the final showdown... the RALLY-OFF event at Salisbury Plain, September 27.

The top 20 navigators of the challenge will be invited to go head to head to lift the trophy, in the ultimate test of navigation skills to determine who reigns 'SUPREME DUST DEVIL' for 2026!

The 2026 Zero Hero Challenge returns this November for the second year running.

There are no classes and no timed stages. This is all about navigating accurately. This is an event for adventure riders, not enduros.

Expect big distances, mega scenery, and the sense of a real adventure in the wilderness.

This is a test of rider endurance, both mentally and physically, rather than speed.

This is an opportunity to ride your adventure bike on the terrain it was built for.

This is how we can continue to enjoy riding in Welsh Forestry for many years to come.

It's the final countdown!

On September 13th, the Blazing Saddles Challenge will be done and dusted for 2026, and what a challenge it has been!

So far 332 routes have been ridden. This equates to 49,500km roadbook navigated so far, since 1st June !

Top of the routes completed list is Barry Manning (11 routes), Paul Evans (10 routes) and Jeff Dack (9 routes).

We now have 11 riders who qualify for the Dust Devil Hoodie and 28 riders for “Mission Accomplished” t-shirts.

Well done Guys and Gals, fantastic effort!

But it's not over yet! The 20 riders with the best scores for the Challenge get to compete in a special “Rally Off” event to decide the Supreme Dust Devil for 2026 and lift the trophy.

Stunning scenery, big smiles, sunny skies and terrific trails... that's what Adventure Rallying in Portugal means to us!

It looks like the 2027 Tour of Portugal is already at capacity which is super exciting. The other exciting news is that we'll be returning to the incredible Estrela mountains again this November, for a different kind of Adventure Rally...

The Estrela Adventure Rally Tour offers riders all the thrills of multi-day, roadbook rally, but with more.

The navigation journey starts from the ferry port in Santander and from there riders will navigate from hotel to hotel, winding their ways through the dirt tracks and backroads less ridden, down into the mountains of central Portugal. This is a fully supported tour, so no need to carry your own luggage and spares. The hotels are handpicked and tested by our trusty recce team, with breakfast and dinner included.

The terrain? Gravel roads, big-bike friendly dirt tracks, with tarmac twisties in between.

The dates? November 13 – 18, 2026

Only a couple of weeks left of the Blazing Saddles Challenge!

The digital roadbook challenge of 11 routes across the UK has been running all summer long, but now we are approaching crunch time... who will be the top scoring riders to take part in the final 'Rally-Off' on Salisbury Plain?

Who will earn a tshirt and who will earn a 'Dust Devil' hoodie?
