The Village Fete is just two weeks away and proceedings are going well and it is just the weather we do not have any control over!
We do still have room for anyone wishing to have a stall, whether it be arts and crafts, bric-a-brac, handmade items or anything else that you would like to exhibit and sell.
No entry fee and all funds retain by the stall holder.. please have a think and pass on to others who might be interested.

Our next Village Fete meeting is on Thursday 11th June at the RRB at 19.30. In the meantime if anyone would like to have a stall please let us know and we would be pleased to discuss arrangements with you.

We have our next Village Fete meeting tomorrow (Thursday 23rd April) at the Rex Rhodes Building (RRB) at 8pm. We hope to be able to start collating all the activities that each of the village groups are hoping to stage and see where there may be gaps in what activities we should be having on Saturday June 20th on Freeman Field.
We hope to see as many of you that can make it on Thursday.

The Village is coming together this year to hold a traditional old fashioned Fete on Saturday 20th June on Freeman Field so save the date and look out for more news and information as to what will be happening on the day.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at the Village Hall, doors open at 7.39pm. Tracey Bird of Cotswold Wines was due to visit us for our November meeting but illness has prevented her attending but we hope that she will visit us in the future for a wine tasting experience.

We have been very fortunate that Vinotopia Wine Merchants from Nailsworth
based in the heart of the Cotswolds will be coming along. They are an independent wine merchant specialising in big wines from small vineyards.

So looking forward to tasting some exciting wines from Vinotopia who were awarded the title of Independent Drinks Retailer of the Year at the 2025 Drinks Retailing Awards — at a ceremony recognising merchants from across the whole of the UK.

Thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday whether to see The Music Man, 18 Strings or the Connections or enjoy a hog roast or a samosa or even enjoy a drink or two then we hope you had a lovely time.

The Events Team would like to thank all those who helped with setting up of the marquee and gazebos, chairs and tables and all those thoughtful people who took a table or chair back to the Rex Rhodes building when they left, this saved the team so much time and we are very grateful for your help.

We sold nearly 300 wristbands and there must be nearly as many children as well so getting on for 500 people in attendance this year.
We just hope that next year we are as lucky with the weather as this year.

A MASSIVE thank you to the Gotherington Events team: Howard, Jane, Linda, Jan, Julie and Ray, for all their work in pulling together another lovely event for the village. A big thank you to our performers, especially 18 Strings who had the very 'hot spot' in our line up! Thank you also to everyone who helped set up, tidy away and everyone who volunteered on the day!!

How lucky we are to have the community and location to be able to enjoy so many wonderful events on our doorstep!!
