The temperature’s dropped but the queues ain’t!

A buffet can bring so much to a wedding especially in terms of variety, informality, and cost but to make this crucial part of the wedding successful here’s a few tips to consider.

💌 have enough room for at least 2 stations! The dinner queue is the absolute worse thing in a wedding if guests have so wait too long to get their food.
If you’re inviting up to 100 wools and you have the space and depending on the menus you need at least 4 tables with servers and someone to direct.

Let this be another wonderful addition to your wedding and not a nightmare.

Book enough waiters! more if your serving both hot and cold dishes.

Be aware of accurate food temperatures especially for seafood and egg and dairy dishes which should not be left out without proper consideration. Ideally your caterer should be on hand if not instructions for the handling of each dish should be noted and kept to.

Let your guests know the menu especially if you have guests with allergies or those who prefer and only eat certain foods. There needs to be something for everyone and not just vegetables.

Cut ✂️ the queues and leave more time for fun!

What’s to be an epic feature of your intimate wedding? Every wedding needs at least one! This wedding of less than 20 people was held in a huge cathedral making it seriously epic! But instead of a huge dress she chose one just as stunning by the super talented j.andreatta_ a dress that look ms good at all angles.

Wedding Tip Tuesday!

Remember or ever heard of the hit summer song by Saweetie called My Type?

Well this is the question that every Wedding Planner at some stage in the process of organising your wedding will ask you. We may also use the word vision or style but it really buckles down to how you see your wedding. 👀

Don’t get me wrong BUDGET is super high on the list too and we’ve covered this in more than one of our Tips, (scroll dow) however the type of wedding you envisage will not change depending on the budget. It may decrease in size, it may not have all the elements you first wanted at first but if you’ve always dreamed of getting married in a castle you’re at least going to make that work even with an elopement and two guests one of them being your ceremony officianado!

The type or style of wedding you want will also help you look at it realistically within your budget.
Your type of wedding will also help you and your wedding planner marry all the other parts of your wedding together so that there is a seamless run through it from start to finish.
Does your flowers match your venue the dress you’ve chosen what about the music does that seamless run through the occasion? You can have different genres in your wedding but you’ve got to make it work to prevent it looking like a mishmash of ideas.
So what’s your type🤷🏾‍♀️

Yes there are lots of resources especially on line and in magazines etc so take the time to hone down on how you envision your wedding.
And when your Wedding Planner asks what Style of wedding we’re you thinking of you can reply like confidently like Saweetie and say. My type…😂

Easter like spring is a time of new life, a time of reflection when we can look forward to old things being done away with and new things sprouting in and around us. 🙏🏽

Life sometimes throws a curve ball but Easter is another reminder for us to increase in faith and NOT to lose hope.

Not Again! 🤦🏾‍♀️😃

Every time I see this pic I laugh. Swipe…

Because sometimes it’s so true! A seasoned wedding planner will brief you about your guest numbers when they become aware of your budget. I love intimate weddings but I’m also about the experience and Intimate weddings are not chosen to keep the cost down‼️Fact.
What’s actually worse is when the guest list is so large and the budget so small that a huge guest list just seems pointless!

There are so many reason not to invite someone to what will be one of the most special days of your life and the budget is just only one.

However if the truth be known the higher the guest list the higher the budget and that goes for luxury or budget weddings. Fact‼️

Let’s be honest; when you think about your family gatherings and celebrations with your close group of friends you’ll have an idea. Guest lists have changed since C19😷 and the recent economic crisis 💵

Having to start trimming down your list every week due to the budget is mega stressful!
Believe🙃 Do think ahead as it will save you many hours of sleep!

And it’s also adding to the list too. Even when you do have the budget. Why? You might have to change vendors or the venue? This could mean starting all over again. It’s not always as simple as it sounds. An additional 5 people might be okay but 10, 20 or even 50 could mean not only throwing out the budget but in changing the date; especially if your venues can’t accommodate you. Yes you’ll find alternatives but they might not be what you want. You’re likely to be charged additional payments if it means that your wedding plans have changed to the point that ALL the planning that was done is suddenly no longer relevant! 🤷🏾‍♀️💵

If you haven’t even been proposed to but you’ve already chosen the dress even in your mind lol 😂 you might as well start thinking about the guest list! Then you just need to add to it when they do! Win win 😂

Enjoy your wedding planning process. Don’t be caught out.

Monday Wedding inspo!

I can’t lie but it’s cold outside and inside too!

A friend sent me a pic from up in Northumberland today and guess what?
It’s snowing‼️

Weather in the UK has been crazy these last few weeks we’ve gone from sunny temperatures to down freezing 🥶 and we’re feeling it!!
Don’t get me wrong cos January is usually very cold but with the weather changing from one extreme to the other it’s just a bit mad!

So for today’s Inspo I’m focusing on an the weather !! and of course an elegant winter wedding.
