I have a confession to make: I hit a massive wall in 2024, and it completely changed how my DJ business works.
I was looking through my camera roll and realised I’ve been DJing since 2009. (That is a terrifying amount of time 💀)
Back then, I wasn't even 17, so my dad had to drive me and Ben (my soon to be best man) to our first few gigs because we couldn’t even drive the gear there ourselves.
Since those early days, I’ve done one hell of a lot of events, even a festival! And of course, who could forget the absolute madness of the post-lockdown wedding rush between 2021 and 2023.
What I didn't realise was doing that many weddings alongside a normal 9-5 job would lead me to eventually hit a wall. I was using all of my holiday days to DJ at weddings. I was burnt out, and I was starting to feel a bit like a "wedding factory."
(During this time, I also found a partner myself, so I got to experience what all of the fuss was about!)
I spent most of 2025 scaling back my business and figuring out how to do this without burning out again.
As a result, I’m now only taking on a limited number of bookings per year.
I want to be 100% locked in for every single wedding I do. By doing fewer dates, I can bring the energy and the focus that your day actually deserves.
I will be working with couples who are on the same page as me musically. If you’re looking for someone who knows Soul, R&B, Funk, Hip Hop, and House inside out, I'm going to be a great fit. I’d rather play the music I love for people who love it too, than just be a human jukebox.
It feels good to be back to why I started this in the first place, playing tunes I love that fill the dancefloor (without the burnout).
