📣VENUE ALERT📣

Bookings being taken for parties, charity events, conferences, training and so much more. And catering can also be provided thanks to Cheerful Chai coffee shop on site and rhe lovely pirate ship play area for the kids.

We also have a couple more regular slots through the week if you need a space to run your own class or club. Broomfield is a great community.

If you missed our maths festival back in October then there is another final opportunity to take part during february half term, so get booking asap.

This is maths learning on another level. Learn how to support your childs maths learning with real life examples and interactive play.
Suitable for children aged 2-7 years. This is an interactive parent/carer and child session.

Feeling disheartened about the riots tonight. And its reminded me of the chaos that minority groups continue facing on a larger scale, all over the world. Will it ever end? 😔💔

As a woman of ethnic heritage, I was born and raised here in the UK. This is my home. I love my neighbour and have focussed many years of my life on community cohesion and building bridges.
Yet, I wonder today whether it has made any difference?

I woke this morning and anxiety took over my physical being. I picked up my phone and checked the CCTV cameras of my own business location in the early hours. Then got myself into work and proceeded to operate with bravery and a somewhat forced smile all day, whilst hoping for the best.

Will each day be the same until we see an end to this all?

I have chosen to stay indoors this evening and cancelled basic plans, for fear of not being out anywhere that chaos may arise.

If far right extremists see me in the street, will I be targeted for being “brown” or “muslim” or any other reason “they deem” an issue? Will my car be stopped and trashed as I try to get somewhere. Will our community hub (Cheerful Chai) be subject to damage or attack in the coming days?

I said to a dear friend this evening that “the world just feels out of balance”. And she rightly emphasised that I was right - “it is out of balance”. But more importantly, she reminded me to “keep my balance!”.
Wise words indeed! 🙏

📣 The Website is ready … and we took the front cover of The City Times this month 📣

Many of you have recently been enquiring as to my whereabouts as I have been in the coffee shop a lot less in person. Well, I can assure you that lots has been going on behind the scenes as I begin to look at the wider picture. How I can enhance the community provisions we already have though my core vision of “community cohesion through collaboration”

As such, one of many developments is now ready to share. And I’m delighted to finally bring you our new website. It’s been a journey for sure. One which would not have been possible without Aaron (my hero) at Pixel Systems for all his patience during the creation and ex*****on phase. Thank you so much. My chaotic brain can be hard to manage when it comes to creativity. And he has the patience of a saint.

I’m also grateful to Fiona Mai at Photography by Bromsgrove for taking and creating some really professional photos as part of the project. A star for sure whom I highly recommend.

And - Yes….. although it’s done, it’s never really done, so Aaron already has an extended list from me consisting of a bookings system and newsletter as well as starting to work on Cheerful Chais website too.

So may I once again welcome you all to your community hub - Angel Pavilion.
