Thank you for the lovely handmade quilt made and donated to the Galleywood Heritage Centre to raffle by the Point to Point patchwork and quilting Monday group.

Tickets can be purchased from the tearoom with draw taking place at the Christmas market 29th November

Heritage open week - Susan Wilson head of our Archive group and volunteers have organised some events this week.
Today there was a historical walk and we have some extra displays up in the main hall until 3:30pm.
Sunday 20th September - The Essex Society for family history are attending to help with any family history questions, along with a display of photos of Galleywood between 1975 to 1980 by Darren Hanning.

Today we say Farewell to Alfie 😢 He is going on to Uni to study his passion of languages
Alfie has volunteered in the Heritage Centre tearoom since the age of 16..
Alfie quickly became a dedicated and much loved member of the team, who always went the extra mile.
All those that come to the tearoom will know that Alfie is a hard working, polite and caring young man.and we have been so lucky to have him volunteer with us.
We will all miss you Alfie, but wish you the best time at University making lots of new memories, friends and experiences. Go smash it Alfie!!

Tabletop sale this Sunday 13th September , 30 stalls selling preloved items and also other stalls including your local Avon lady, plant stall, cards, knitted items, sweets, wreaths, knitted baby clothes, sewn items.
Pop along and not only will you be supporting our charity, you will be supporting local small businesses too 😁
