I’m talking AWE in my newsletter today. Here’s an awesome inspiring person : Alex Tarn, founder of yasmintarnfoundation in memory of her daughter who died from a brain tumour last year. We’re in awe-inspiring St Guilhem le Desert enjoying 40 years since we were at College. I’m in awe of friendship, history, and putting my phone down helps@me@see it x link in stories x

Workshops and retreats at the farm all include all the materials you will need on each day and a fabulous farm shop lunch (the farm tour includes hot and cold drinks - no lunch sorry!)

An hour or so spent writing postcards to be sent out with copies of the all-new edition of The Flower Farmer’s Year is a treat. It’s amazing when a few years back you wrote that opening line and here it is at last, a real book intended to inspire and empower you the readers to grow amazing cut flowers and foliage, and, if you like, make a business out of those stems you grow, a business which will feed both your local ecology and your bank balance, a business with purpose, which means you are doing a good thing to earn a living. Available to preorder at all good book shops and online. I’ll put the preorder link in my stories. I can’t wait to hear what you all think of it x

Blue heaven in this new Independent online shop | timeless relaxed fashion & accessories blouse all set to take me through to the end of summer - Thankyou popsypoodles 🚜 Tilly for the perfect venue to show it off in. This is my kind of midlife fashion: light, elegant, fresh cotton, wearable wearable wearable. I think I have about seven of these blouses now and I know you all see me wearing them all@summer long. Highly recommend.

Our workshops start again on 16th September (online demos start on 8th September) and we’ve a varied programme of sessions coming up this autumn.

You’ll see sessions here that are very much focused on people growing cut flowers and foliage for profit (or those thinking about doing so) but our Flower Farmer’s Year and Design A Cut Flower Patch workshops are also suitable for those of us who grow for pleasure, helping us to streamline our growing year, as well as making the most of our growing spaces.

Our Lifestyle Business Retreat is also suitable for people beyond the world of flower farming.

These workshops all take place online, unless marked ‘at the farm’. Online sessions are available to you, even if you can’t attend live, as we make sure everyone has access to a recorded version after the session has taken place.

Do take a look and see if there’s anything here you’d like to do and let us know if you’ve any questions. Full details on our website (linked below or link in bio).

Our live club chats (for paid subscribers on Substack) start again on 3rd September.

This term will include 12 live chats - 3 special guests, 1 live demo and 8 other varied and interesting topics.

You can read the full line up for the autumn term in our latest newsletter - which is linked in the bio.

If you’ve not yet joined the club on Substack, the live chats are one of several perks. You can join up for £10 a month, or £75 a year. This year we’ll have hosted 32 live chats - which works out at £2.34 a session if you pay annually. Add the other perks to this (website discount, additional exclusive content, access to archive of all our previous live sessions and paywalled content, and a supportive, friendly chat group) and we feel like the club is excellent value.

Hopefully we might see you there soon?
