What’s on this week?

Georgie’s cut flower season has officially ended but there’s still plenty happening and lots to look forward to. Here’s what’s happening this week:

Monday 12th October Consultancy session at the farm - the last one of 2026, but 2027 dates are now available to book. Can be done online or at the farm.

Tuesday 13th October The Flower Farmer’s Year Workshop online and recorded if you can’t join live

Wednesday 14th October The Design A Cut Flower Patch Workshop online and recorded if you can’t join live

(You can book the above two workshops as a discounted bundle if you’re interested in them both)

Thursday 15th October Club Live Chat - Planning for extreme weather (on Substack)

So much fun was had at our three day flower farming workshop this week. Seven students, all very different, with different business ideas, working together to make a blueprint for their flower growing businesses going forward. By the afternoon of day three everyone is working together as a great team and friendships are made, support going forward established, cash flow forecasts are setting, objectives clear, markets focused on for research. These three day workshops I teach are the highlights of my year. Dates for 2027 already on the website and we can take split payments if that helps. We keep the groups small so that everybody gets the attention and personal advice they are looking for as well as so that the group has time to get to know one another and make those mutually supportive connections that sustain in the months and years ahead. Our Design A Cut Flower Patch Workshop takes place online next week, Wednesday 14th October, 5pm (recorded if you can’t join live).

Join Georgie for this 2 hour session and learn how to plan and plant a productive cut flower patch, no matter what size patch or plot you are working with. Georgie takes participants through her own cut flower patches, shares sketched designs to spark your thinking, and answers every question about layout, soil, infrastructure, and planting, so that whatever your space, you leave with a plan you can act on. 

The workshop is suitable for all gardening enthusiasts and flower growers, whatever their level: from complete beginners planning their first cutting patch to experienced growers wanting to redesign or expand their growing space.

Our Flower Farmer’s Year online workshop takes place online next week - perfectly timed to set you up for a really organised growing season in 2027, whether you grow for pleasure or for profit.

As with all our sessions, if you can’t join live the workshop is recorded and sent out afterwards, so you don’t need to miss out.

Join Georgie and she’ll help you plan for your flower growing year, with a walk through of key dates, which she sticks to in order to ensure her beds are ready for bulb deliveries, her seeds get sown when they need to be, her crops are planted out on time and all those other crucial tasks are given the time they need, year on year.

Sometimes the tone is really quite bullying.
