Ten en suite guest rooms include a well appointed ground floor room which has good disabled access and facilities, and the delightful Crown Wheel Suite comprising bedroom with four poster bed, luxury bathroom and separate sitting room overlooking the cogs and mechanism of the mill wheel. From our Autumn À La Carte Menu, our pavé of hake is served with pickled mussels, Hasselback potatoes, braised leeks, shimeji mushrooms and a delicate saffron velouté.

A lovely combination of flavours, beautifully brought together by Head Chef Chris Chatfield and the kitchen team.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for A Taste of October last Friday. It was a fantastic evening, and we loved seeing you enjoying the tasting menu created by Head Chef Chris Chatfield and the team.

We have had lovely feedback since, including this from our competition winner Karen, who discovered the competition through the Chard Facebook Group, who posted:

“Thank you for a superb ‘A Taste of October’ meal. Succulent food prepared by Chris Chatfield: each and every morsel in this five-course meal, including the two ‘amuse-bouche’ dishes, was a delight. The service was also super-friendly and efficient. We will certainly be looking at your upcoming menus for a future visit!”
