🎉 Exciting News from the Chalgrove Village May Day Festival! 🎉

As many of you know, the Chalgrove Village May Day Festival is self-funding, with all proceeds each year reinvested to make the festival bigger and better 🌟
After many years of careful financial control, last year the committee made the decision to share this with some local worthy causes as a thank you for your ongoing support 💛

We’re pleased to announce that after yet another successful Festival, we are again in the fortunate position to donate to a number of worthwhile local causes 🙌

We are delighted to announce that funds will be going to:
👶 First Steps Family Hub - Chalgrove & Watlington
🚑 South Oxfordshire Community First Responders
🛹 Oxford Wheels Project

We wanted to again extend our heartfelt thanks ❤️ to everyone in the village, former committee members who have contributed immensely to our success, and the local businesses who have generously sponsored and donated raffle prizes 🎁 Your support has made this possible! 🙏

Hi! Did you enjoy the May Day festival this year? We thought it was brilliant AND enabled us to support groups and charities in our village, we’ll share more on the deserving recipients shortly.

Did you know only 10 volunteers pulled all that together?

We need help, half of our committee are retiring from the committee this year, they’ve been wonderful.

Please get in touch to join us? It’s a lovely group, we share the work and with more of us the load is lighter. Can you give a few hours to help with advertising, getting quotes, organising the schedule or just bringing ideas? we meet monthly and our next meeting is in September. Without new people, we can’t continue.

Just want to thank the extremely generous sponsors of our Ten K race. There's a lot of upfront costs to cover setting up this event. We had the maximum of 350 runners signed up for our first time organising the race and it wouldn't have been possible without you.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Chalgrove May Day Festival tomorrow 11am -4pm. Alongside all the fun activities, dog show, car show and craft stalls we have plenty of delicious food stalls and 2 licensed bars. On-site toilets available.
Please note if you are traveling by car there is no parking on site and we ask people respectfully not to block local residential roads. There is temporary event 🅿️ (on grass) just 5 minutes walk from Chalgrove rec for a charity donation. Please map below

Plan your day: The Sol Samba Band start the fun off at 10.30am playing down the High Street to the village green and sending the 10k runners off in style. Live music, activities, car show, craft stalls bars and food all in full swing from 11am!

Volunteers needed!
A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers but we desperately need more💪💪Specifically to put up marquees etc from 8am-10am on Monday 5th May in preparation for the Chalgrove May Day Festival. Chalgrove Village May Day Classic Car Show
The Classic Car show is going to be a stunning display this year with over 90 entries confirmed

This does mean we’re at capacity now so sadly cannot take any further bookings for this year.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR ON THE DAY WITHOUT A CONFIRMED BOOKING - ENTRY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
