How lovely is this ..

My mother kept a garden
A garden of the heart
She planted all the good things
That gave my life its start
She turned me to the sunshine
And encouraged me to dream
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem
And when the winds and rain came
She protected me enough
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough
Her constant good example
Always taught me right from wrong
Markers for my pathway
That will last a lifetime long
I am my mother's garden
I am her legacy
And I hope today she feels the love
Reflected back from me.

Hi all / just to let you know that Alice is now teaching the flowering arranging course at British Academy of Floral Art starting in March - head over to their website to check it out!
It will be a great starter to the Floristry world! 💘

NEW TUTOR 🪴Alice Herrington Devonshire Rose Floral Design first started her floral journey back in 2010 when she opened her shop with her Mum in Chagford, Amy's Flowers. She studied her Level 5 Master with us and achieved top practical mark in 2022 🏆

We are very excited that Alice will be running our brand new flower arranging course, which is packed full of beautiful floral designs, techniques and knowledge for you to enjoy.

We will use all sustainable mediums, such as water, moss and sand. You will learn to gift wrap flowers to wow your friends. Make stunning tables designs inspired my the Devon Countryside and upcycle everyday house objects to make them into decorative containers for your flowers.

Alice can't wait to share her knowledge and inspire your floral creativity!

16.04.2022 - here ends 12 years of hard work, fun, laughter, late nights, mother’s days, Valentine’s days, birthdays, births, deaths, anniversaries…. THE LOT!

That’s the amazing thing about flowers - it brings everyone and everything together throughout the circle of life! ☺️💗

Feeling blessed to have been SO busy and well supported throughout the whole 12 years of our little business.
Thank you to our lovely customers and supporters and to Chagford for being there through all our ups and downs. We want to thank you all for your really lovely comments and messages you have been sending us both... so overwhelming and we have so many to reply too but will do this next week! 😄

Here we are, now very ready for a BREAK! 😅… then ready to start our new adventures ahead! 🥳

Happy Wednesday! ☀️

Just a quick message to let you know that we have decided it’s easier for us to, once again, ‘WORK BEHIND CLOSED DOORS’ this Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday in preparation for Mothering Sunday this weekend!

Our very small shop will be full to the brim with fresh flowers everywhere, we will need all the space we can get this year to make up all your bouquets and orders! 💐

Collections will be ready as planned, so please just come to the door and we will hand you your bouquet! 🌿

Collection times will be: Friday & Saturday 9am - 5pm & Sunday 9am - 12 midday

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, there are only 2 of us hence why we have had to close the order books now.. we have loads of orders to make up for the weekend! 💗

This gives us enough time to order the flowers, condition the flowers and make up all the orders and then deliver! 😅

Hi everyone - we have an important announcement for all our customers, community and followers far and wide ❤️

After a lot of thought and consideration we wish to let you know that we at Amy’s Flowers will be closing our doors and our last trading day will be on Saturday 16th April, Easter weekend 🐣

We know this may come as a shock to you, we have loved being your florists for the past 12 years, it has been such an incredible experience but we are both really ready for a change! A plant will always outgrown its pot! 🪴👩‍👧

Thank you for embracing us and supporting us both throughout our time as Chagford’s Florist as only Chagford knows how! 👩‍👧💕

Until the 16th April we will be working our usual hours and will be taking orders up to Easter.

For those who would like to continue following our journey, we will continue to post on our social media and share our work with you 💘
