Little Leaf Floral creates fresh and dried floral arrangements, seasonal wreaths, preserved fresh flowers and runs wreath & floral workshops.

Each floral creation uses flowers grown personally from seed and are naturally dried with no dyes or chemicals. Hello, I’m Joanna, the heart and hands behind Little Leaf Floral. Based in Reading, Berkshire, I find inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding me. My journey into the world of flowers began with my own garden and allotment, where I grow each bloom with care and sustainability in min

d. I also advise people on garden design and planting scheme matters. All the flowers you see here are lovingly cultivated from seed in peat-free compost by me. Over the years, I’ve built up a diverse collection of annuals and perennials, all of which I carefully preserve through natural drying techniques. The end result is a range of beautiful everlasting wreaths, bouquets, wedding and home accessories - timeless pieces that capture nature’s delicate beauty. Every product I create is bespoke, designed to bring joy and meaning to life’s special moments. Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, or any other occasion, I’m committed to fulfilling each customer's needs, collaborating to craft something unique. I take pride in selecting the perfect combination of blooms—focusing on colour, texture, and shape—to create pieces that feel truly one-of-a-kind. During spring and summer I grow a wide range of fresh flowers: starting with daffodils, tulips, sweet peas, sweet williams, which I sell and use for bespoke fresh flower arrangements at venues for events. I also preserve wedding, funeral and other occasion flowers, creating nostalgic shadow boxes to hold cherished memories forever.

🍂 Bright Colours of Autumn! 🍁
Captured the vibrant hues of the season in this new media frame — threading dried flowers and foliage through chicken wire. Such a fun process, and I love how brightly it lights up the wall!

A basket of dahlias to brighten the day 🌸
I was never a big fan of dahlias — until I started drying them! The process is a bit time-consuming (each stem has to be dried separately), but the result is absolutely worth it. The colours shift slightly, taking on a soft, rustic charm that feels so cozy and natural.
These deep red ones will be just perfect for my Christmas-themed wreaths and winter creations ❤️

With this beautiful warm weather, it’s such a pleasure to spend time at the allotment — still harvesting flowers, doing the first sowing for 2026 and making quince jelly (Spanish membrillo). 🍯🌸

Pressed Flowers in Vintage Frames 🌸

Last week I spent some time creating something a little different — using the beautiful flowers I’ve been pressing over the past few months, I’ve made a new collection of pressed flower art in vintage frames. 🌿

I’ll be adding these to my shop soon, and I have a feeling they’ll be a real highlight at my Christmas markets this year! 🎄💛

From now on, I’ll also be adding my workshop flyers at the end of each post — just a little reminder to book your spot early 🌱

Wedding Flower Preservation ✨
I had the honor of preserving these gorgeous wedding flowers for a special couple 💍🌸.

The blooms were delivered right after the ceremony, then carefully separated and dried stem by stem over several weeks. Once perfectly preserved, I brought them back together into a one-of-a-kind memorial arrangement, beautifully displayed in a keepsake box 🌱

A set of autumnal buttonholes for a special day 🍂
Rich reds and warm oranges mixed with dried grasses - no greenery, the lasting beauty of the season.
Each stem was grown from seed, with no sprays or dyes, so these little treasures can be kept as a keepsake for years to come ♥️
