Autumn brights 🧡🌿

One gorgeous vase full of imported flowers, one full of British flowers - both equally as beautiful.

As the British growing season is approaching it’s final little push, I really need to a 48 hour days to get prepared for next year but I have other more pressing things to do, and as my late husband used to say, ‘It is, what it is’ I’m sticking to that 😉

Grateful for everything the seasons have brought, I’m now having a little break with my fella, my dog and lots of fresh air - looks like the temperatures are dropping too, perfect walking weather!

Weddings.

It’s almost a year since this beautiful day, autumn leaves, gorgeous Yorkshire countryside surrounding such a lovely venue (that I try and visit as much as possible - the food is incredible!) and reading a post this morning by has really blown my mind. See my stories.

Back to the beautiful day - Jules & Steve looked so relaxed, so in love and the day was perfect. I was hanging around behind the scenes with my fiancé transforming the intimate reception before the service and then taking down the florals from the gorgeous little chapel after the ceremony, you can even see our van in the distance in the first image.

The preparation that takes place before a big day and during, no matter what the size of Wedding is huge. Exceeding expectations by every single person involved behind the scenes as a supplier, is a privilege - and paid for by each couples hard earned cash - and ours!

The first image was beautifully captured by the rest by me. I had full free access to all the professional photos and each time I share an image from them I credit Rachel, The Timble Inn and Jules & Steve. Social media is a strong platform to create awareness to any business.

I’ve had a couple of weddings where I don’t have a single professional photograph and it really feels like a lost opportunity for everyone involved.

It’s an eye opener behind the scenes if I’m honest, and in life there’s light and dark to every situation and weddings are no exception. I’ve witnessed rudeness, aloofness, seen tears in a photographers eyes because I introduced myself 😳and the most amazingly well received free cup of tea or pint of coke when temperatures have been incredibly hard to work in (and equally also had to beg for a glass of tap water)!

It’s a collaboration. A beautifully coordinated day of everyone involved, each cog is as important as the other!

Living wreath 🌿

Swipe for my first to my most recent. I forgot just how lovely these are to create, thank you for teaching me this way back in 2020. Sometimes you have to go back to filter out what you don’t love to see what you do.

I’ve had a really balanced few days doing what I love, I’m planning a little break at the end of the month, so needed after a crazy summer!
