Elegant Urn Workshop - done 🌿

When the student becomes Master.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ironbridge Gorge Flower School with my beautiful friend Lisa ‘Nettie’ from the day we first ‘met’ on a zoom meeting during those crazy times at Tallulah Rose Flower School - I just knew we’d be friends for life. Two straight talking women always offering help and advice and enjoying a cheeky joke along the way. We’ve both taken very different paths on our flowery journey and have equally had highs and lows along the way and this amazing woman is definitely on a high. It’s been so lovely after a hectic time to go back to basics and supporting my lovely mate too.

Urns are so popular at the moment, this shape is my go to shape, my eye is always drawn to height at the left and sweeping down to the right, I wanted to incorporate more greenery than I have been doing all summer and I felt like I was home - we all have our individual style and she still looks beautiful after travelling with me back up to Yorkshire 🌿

Smart wedding florals 🌿

I’m not going to lie, when I realised the sizes of these mantles, I seriously had to use the teeny element of brain mathematics that I absorbed many moons ago converting to feet and inches and my jaw dropped.

With a foot difference in height and width and very different depths/styles I realised I could combine the two and create two different looks to match the budget of one arrangement.

My bench is just about 8ft long so I could visualise how this was going to look. I will say however, that my spatial awareness can sometimes let me down (I ran out of space doing pre wedding jenga in my van for a previous wedding 🤦‍♀️), so belt and braces I headed north and when I arrived at the gorgeous venue Exclusive Northumberland Wedding Venue💍 I gave myself a little pat on the back for realising my cleverness. The plan worked.

Final checks of the Ceremony aisle🌿

I always try and take a quiet moment to pause, admire, and see the transformation from the perspective of my couples and capture the flowers - a photo can show flaws that sometimes the naked eye can’t see and I’m such a perfectionist I like to see from all angles before I walk away.
