FREE FAMILY FUN DAYS FOR FAMILIES WITH NEURODIVERGENT CHILDREN.

Wee Messy Crafters is really excited to be part of these special Family Fun Days taking place across Dumfries & Galloway this October.

These events are specifically for parents and carers and their neurodivergent children.

The days have been created to provide a relaxed, inclusive and sensory-aware environment, where families can have fun together while also sharing their experiences and views to help shape better, neurodivergent-affirming local spaces, services and places to visit.

Wee Messy Crafters will be there with lots of messy and sensory play to explore at your own pace, and there’ll also be the chance to meet some amazing exotic animals.

📍 Annan – Saturday 10th October | 10am–1pm
📍 Stranraer – Tuesday 20th October | 12–3pm
📍 Castle Douglas – Wednesday 21st October | 10am–1pm
📍 Dumfries – Thursday 22nd October | 10am–1pm

FREE to attend
Light lunch & refreshments included
£25 Aldi gift voucher per family for taking part and sharing your views

Day 2 at Youth Beatz Dumfries
What an amazing second day, It was beautifully sunny (if a little windy) and we had another fantastic day of messy fun.

Today's activities included:
Stone painting
More junk modelling
Our small world tuff tray:
fairy
Cars
Insects
Dinosaurs.
Our popular shower curtain paint screen

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to create, make, and play with us today.

We had an incredible weekend and are so grateful to Youth Beats for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful event.

We're absolutely exhausted now, but in the best possible way. We can't wait for our next event and hope to see you all again next year.

Thank you so much to Beatz Dumfries for inviting Messy Crafters to be part of your Kids tent this year.
I had such a wonderful time over the weekend.
I absolutely loved creating, making, and setting up a beautiful activity station for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to all the wonderful families who came along to craft, play, and say hello. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, as well as lots of new ones too.

Saturday selection of activities, including:
Crown making
Junk modelling
Our Tuff tray Theme:
Farm scene
Antarctic animals
Jungle play
Castles and dragons
And of course our fabulous Water play station.

A special thank you to Boyle whose wonderful storytelling and singing were inspired by our tuff trays, bringing our play themes to life and delighting the children. It was so lovely to see the little ones being entertained while waiting in the face-painting queue with the fabulous Paint & Sparkle team.

I hope everyone managed to keep hold of their stickers from Saturday, unfortunately, we ran out of crowns crafts and stickers, so we weren't able to continue those activities on Sunday.

Thank you again to everyone who came to create, make, and play with us. Me and the girls had such a fantastic day.

Day 1 - Thank you so much to Youth Beatz Dumfries for inviting Messy Crafters to be part of your Kids tent this year.
I had such a wonderful time over the weekend.
I absolutely loved creating, making, and setting up a beautiful activity station for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to all the wonderful families who came along to craft, play, and say hello. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, as well as lots of new ones too.

What a lovely morning at our Messy Play & Crafts Summer Special with Haugh Hub.
Here’s a little peek at what we got up to today.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, it was so lovely to see our regular families and welcome some new faces too.
It was wonderful seeing parents and grandparents getting involved, joining in with the messy play and creating memories together.

A special thank you to the Haugh Hub team for helping with the pack away afterwards and having a team makes such a difference, I really appreciate the help.
Luckily, the sunshine came out and everything got a lovely outdoor wash down before being packed away and getting ready for our next adventure…
I will be bringing the messy fun back out for Beats Festival next weekend.
Thank you again to everyone who supported us, hope you had as much fun as we did. ### see you all again soon xx

Sneaky Peek at Tomorrow’s Messy Play & Crafts Summer Special.

We’ve been busy getting everything ready for tomorrow’s session, and we can’t wait to welcome you all.

Here’s a little look at some of the fun crafts we’ll have available:

Create your own favourite person design.
Make a special wooden picture frame.
Decorate and play with fidget toys.
Colouring and creative activities.
Create your very own “Best Person” award, with a photo of yourself or decorate it with lots of fun materials.
Come along and celebrate that special person in your life with us whether it’s a dad, grandad, uncle, brother, or someone special.

✨ WHAT A WEEKEND. ✨
Me and my family had honestly had the most amazing time at Festival.
A huge thank you to every family who came along and played, explored, and got messy with us. Seeing all your little ones smiling, exploring and having fun made it all so special.
A massive thank you also to the amazing volunteers who helped us in the Toddler Tent and Family Wellbeing Area. We couldn’t have done it without your support, kindness and energy.
Thank you to the Eden team for having us, and to all the beautiful people we met along the way. We loved every minute and we’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next year.

But the fun doesn’t stop there -
