🎈Are you kidding?! The kids love Knockengorroch!

Knockengorroch has always been super proud to be a family-run and family-friendly festival. At the heart of the family fun, each year we set up a kids area hosted by Kidding Around and Bairn Banter bursting with games, crafts, and activities, alongside our iconic and incredible line-ups for all ages to enjoy.

❗️Don‘t forget - Children under 11 go 🆓, and tickets for under 16s are less than half price. So bring the whole family to Knockengorroch Festival and make magical memories together!

We are busily squirreling away on our 2027 line-up theme and announcement...and we can't wait to share with you what we have been brewing up!

Our 2026 theme of Year of the Horse brought in the fiery independence and free thinking of the horse 🐎 what will 2027 bring?

Simon was at this festival, in the swallows that dipped and swelled during his eulogy, in the huge stone we brought down from his beloved mountain Cairnsmore, in the free-spirited energy of the horse and in the love that bathed the event from start to finish.
He would have been quite tickled to have a story about him on BBC News. Finding recognition or glory was the complete opposite of what he was about. For us left behind though, it is lovely to have him, his life's work and values recognised.. السلام عليكم Simon!

Simon and Liz Holmes set up the Knockengorroch Festival near Carsphairn in Galloway back in 1998. When he died in December last year, the family considered cancelling the event as it happened at one of the busiest times for preparations.
