Another lovely day at Noah’s Pond with the team! Grazing table with chorizo croquettes, rump steak canapés, dips and sticks and lots of yummy stuff to start. Then shawarma spiced chicken, wild rice tabbouleh, dreamy tomato salad with feta and hazelnut dukkah, and of course crispy potatoes. Basque cheesecake for the bride and groom to cut as their cake, while everyone else got theirs delivered pre sliced and ready to go! Lovely team, lovely guests, lovely menu, lovely sunshine ☀️

Wedding numero due last Saturday was another dreamy one! Guests kept cool in the woods for canapés and drinks, then a proper party with their bellies lined with yumminess.

Canapés included gildas and steak tartare with truffle mayo. Earl grey brined BBQ chicken with fennel and orange, grilled hispi with muhammara and giant couscous, caponata with mozzarella and orzo pesto salad with tenderstem and courgette. Then Cheddar strawbs macerated in elderflower on almond pavs for pud!

The couple’s fave cheese toasties of apricot, thyme and goats cheese along with some cheddar and chilli jam ones to keep them all going on the dance floor. Whew! What a weekend!

A very yummy breeze at kept us cool (ish) on Saturday for wedding number one of the weekend. Excellent canapé selection - prawn and ginger gyozas the winner for the team - a healthy amount of smooth jazz sax keeping the guests entertained, then a full feast. Dips, flatbreads, gozleme (stuffed Turkish flatbreads) followed by slow cooked falling apart lamb shoulder with salsa verde, crispy potatoes, salad, BBQ courgette with lots of yummy bits. Passionfruit, lime and mango pavs to finish, sausage baps to keep them going on the dance floor for later x

Perfect weather for a perfect little wedding on Saturday! The barns at were looking glorious, swallows flying all over the place, and 50 very happy guests with a fully vegetarian menu.

- heritage tom salad with shallot & coriander seed crisp on a bed of tabbouleh (pre plate wipe obvs)
- seared halloumi and spiced aub with zhoug and date syrup
- glass of fizz waiting *just* before they all sat down
- perfect asparagus ready for dipping
- big ol veggie grazing on a slightly too big table
-courgette, leek, basil and burrata toasts
- start of the day job

Absolute humdinger of a day to start our wedding season! Beautiful garden with a beautiful marquee in, guests arrived at the bride’s family home for fizz and canapés under the wisteria and clematis in full bloom. Falling apart lamb, first of the asparagus and some very springy salads set them up for dancing and wedding cake. We had a great time, so did they 🪩✨✌️

Did a bit of cooking, took a couple pictures! Wbu? Had a very lovely Good Friday wedding tasting with the whole family - we can fit 8 round the table, so if you want, bring the gang.

Thinking about how we can convince people we should throw their dinner parties for them. All the fun, none of the work!

Some really ancient (five years!!!) photos of a test run of one of our first wedding menus. Really handy excuse to get the neighbours round for a feast in the garden. We can’t wait to be cooking, serving and eating al fresco in the sunshine again!

Tasting bits from last week. Really very much enjoying some of this tentative early spring sunshine! Many many salads, dips, unpictured canapés and of course a bit of BBQing for good measure. A very sexy basque cheesecake - which makes me think - have we got it all wrong? Is delicious brown food really the best?
